I see this being a very long thread. My store has probably spent thousands of dollars "fixing" our pallet jacks when they could easily have purchased new ones for less. The lift mechanism went out on our newest jack (so it wouldn't raise up at all) so they "fixed" it with a brand...
As a Krogers employee and 20 yr Veteran of the United States Army I was floored when I viewed The Krogers Company website. In bright bold letters "Join are Ranks: encouranging veterans to join the ranks of Krogers. I also looked at the top 53 companys listed in a report provided on Krogers websit...
It would be nice if our discount worked from division to division. I was in Richmond, Indiana today and bought a couple things in their Kroger store and didn't get my discount. I don't even live that far away from the store either. It's only like an hour away from my store. -_-
I've been working for Kroger for a little over a month now but mostly my shifts so far have been between 4 and 6 hours each. Today, I work from 1:30p - 10p. My first full day. I'm really just posting this as a way to vent because I'm nervous that the day will drag on and go by super slow. Also, people in my depart...
For anyone that doesn't know, bumping someone is when you switch your shift with theirs, and my store this can be done with or without the other person's permission. At the service desk (where I work) the person with the most seniority (Person 1) bumped Person 2's shift. In turn Person 2 bumped Perso...
So.... I don't know if this is true or not yet but i've heard that a family member of a certain favorite co-worker I mentioned before, might start working in our department soon. Apparently right now she's in the hiring process? Or at least considering applying, but it's already been hinted that she *m...
lol. I just checked my schedule. I am off the 24th, 25th and 26th!! I have never been off before and after Christmas Day.....ever in the last 6 years. This will be interesting to see if my senior coworkers bump me for those days.
And I couldn't be happier. I am a full time engineering student with a minor in mathematics/computer science. I will now have time to actually focus and study. :D I love the people I work with, but oh man, do I hate customers. I cashier.
Was wondering if anyone on here knows when the company starts the process in vesting into your pension? Example, you get hired in at full time status, does the vesting start from date of hire, or after a certain amount of months? Employed 10 years, thanks!
I haven't been feeling well and I can't work my scheduled shift. Who do you talk to when you call in? I'm a cashier, so would I talk to one of the front end managers or the regular store manager or is it someone else? Can they deny you calling in and make you come in anyway? Sorry these are such dumb questions,...
So we've all been there: Customer desires a product not present in set, so clerk awkwardly fumbles through the standard "If a replacement won't do, we'll try to order some, and we apologize for being such bad people" rigamarole. Then comes the parry: "But I bought some here...
does your manager come around with a clipboard asking you to sign it? They always make you feel rushed so you don't really get to read what you're signing but they tell you that "you're signing it because you're in xxx dept and xxx got injured"
So i wanted to know whats the union policy for calling in sick in texas when your working at kroger. also if you been sick twice and had a doctor excuse for each visit can they still fire you even if your sick?
I wasnt terminated yet. but sure as hell positive i will be. i took some food to the break room before i clocked in and thought i could just do the 2 minute walk home and get the money and come back scan it and im fine. i see customers eating the food all the time in the store so i thought it'd be fine. as long as i h...
