I've posted around here a few times, and I was wondering, how long does it usually take to get used to working odd, inconsistent hours? After getting into File Maintenance for two days a week, I've had a lot of trouble trying to sort out sleep. It's very common for me to have weeks where I close the store at...
So I was bagger and I got let go because I called in sick cause I had a mean head ache and this was during my probation and when I called I asked my manager if could call in during my probation she said yea so i called in sick. Next week I don't have a schedule and I got let go cause I called in sick. I didn't even ask...
I'm thinking of working in dairy. Anything I should know? Pros or cons? Should I continue to work as a lowly coffee shop clerk, or should I traipse forward into the land of honey....and milk?
Ok so I recieved some Wow bucks and I can't even find how we're supposed to use these things. I'm on greatpeople.me and don't see anything about them on the site. So they gave me something I can't even use, how nice LOL Does anyone know how to find it on there? -- Edited by 4hourrush on Sunday 22nd of Septem...
Friends, hello from Kroger 578 in Wylie, TX. It looks like they have struck again, low wages, **** management, and every excuse under the sun but the truth. Good folks here are leaving like the plague showed up and the bosse's do not care. It's attrition, according to the G.M. Is it time to strike or ju...
Do retired employees still receive the Verizon discount? Verizon is asking for a company email address to verify employment. Is this our local email or corporate. Local store doesn't seem to know the answer to this question. Hope someone here can help.
I need help...I had put in my two week notice and have now been off the job for about a week now. Does anyone know when they do the payout for your vacation time and sick pay? As I was never informed.
I would like to work in produce at my local kroger here in michigan part time as a second job. I have no problem lifting heavy boxes as I am a big guy and I already lift 80 to 90 lb boxes at my day job. Looking to here from other produce employees in the region on what to expect. I would assume as the new guy I wo...
Again I have to work to midnight. I find it very pointless because after ten no one comes in well rarely 10-12 about 5 customers and they all go through self check . So I'm waiting there with nothing to do so they get mad at me because I look bored. Re shop is all finishEd so I'm pretty much left to pray midnig...
So I have been working at Kroger's for 7 months in the floral shop it has been an up and down experience with 4 managers, all new employees, and me taking on a lot of responsibility. Over the course of my seven months I have been pushed to the most seniority in my department except for my manager who has been...
We ran out of Kroger plus cards at my store today and they asked me to go to another Kroger and pick some up. I gladly volunteered because it was something different to do. 2 people told me they would compensate me for it. One person said they would give me a $5 gift card and one person said they would give me $...
This has been a constant problem since I've worked at Kroger -pallets* falling over during shipping. It's such an easy fix. They even have E-tracks built right into the sides of the trailer to hook straps to. So, why the hell don't the drivers use them? Pisses me off when the first thing I do is open a tra...
I have been with Kroger for about 3 months now and I read a memo about bonuses. I am a bagger and was wondering if I am entitled to one. The memo also mentioned that it picks the top rated clerk for the bonus. How will I know if I am entitled to the bonus? Also how will I know my rating?
I have worked at Kroger before. I know the mindset of a lot of employees and managment at the store. There is this whole atmosphere of filing greivences when something happens you don't like in the store, bumping schedules and times, doing your best to right any wrong Kroger does on purpose or accident...
I just got next week's schedule that was done under the e-scheduling and I was surprised and upset. It was all screwy! It has me working till midnights on a couple days when the bagger's night shift ends at 11 and gave me only 4 days to work when my availability is 5. I wasn't the only one affected by this....
If any of you recall my rantings in another post it was that I was under the impression that a lawsuit was the result of my pay being reduced. Well, I was wrong. It was a fluke on their end. I'm sorry if I wasted anyone's time with my silliness.
