In our grocery department the overnight dp and lead positions are open, but they're never posted. Does anyone know why this is? You'd think that they'd give somebody the opportunity to apply for one of them. It's not even listed on the kroger job website.

Is there anything more annoying than regular clerks who "used" to be department heads and therefore think they know more than you, the actual department head? Bonus points if they haven't even been a department head in the past 5 years. Those people piss me off so much. If you are so damn capable, PUT IN...
I work Frozen Lead at 448. I received no help for almost a week even though I asked. The management got angry at me for having 50 hours last week due to only being me in the department. This week the management said," Cut your hours or else," yet my back-up wasn't there for almost a week and a half! Do I go...
Are there no "rules" when it comes to being the backup but not getting the backup pay rate? I know they like to see if a person is going to work out but can they just keep you in the position without a raise for as long as they want?
I was shocked and surprised that Kroger has actually lowered our price on bananas to a very cheap 39 cents a pound in the last week. I haven't checked Aldi's or Walmart's prices but I thought there were still in the 40s or 50s price-per-pound range. How long will this last? Is Kroger planning to stick...
I worked 7.5 hours on memorial day as a cashier and didn't get paid time and a half even tho the front end supervisor said I would. On express hr it says holiday pay but is at my normal rate. Do I talk to hr? The CSM is on vacation this week.
If a Kroger retiree from passes away does the retirement money then go to the spouse? ALSO, If spouse thenpasses away can it go to adult but disabled child?
Is night premium added to regular pay? For example if your regular pay reads: 13.50. But overnight premium says: 1.00. Does that add to 14.50 or is it just 13.50? I'm confused, thanks.
Do they have message boards and can you be straightforward on them? I would think not since you have to register to be on there and that is the reason I am not on there
I just started at kroger and i thought you had to wait 2 weeks before you got your first check? I got a check yesterday for orientation. Does that mean no waiting? Before you say "Oh why didnt you ask your manager?" I forgot to ask and i don't go back till tuesday so i wanted some thoughts on the ma...
How long does it take for the termination process of an employee take to go through? Also, what does it mean when store management say that the only thing that's going to save your job is if the paperwork was filed incorrectly. How would it be processed incorrectly?
So I got into a little argument with the other bakery closer about what we are supposed to do during a normal shift. Im a bakery back up and the other closer. The other closer very rudely tells me that my only responsibilty is the pull for the baker, cleaning out the donut case and marking the donuts down an...
finally returned to work after six months of being on medical leave and i have to say it's not as bad as i remember. sure it's got its problems and a few individuals who i'd rather not speak to, but the work really isn't that bad and i leave work feeling satisfied. my boss is very glad i am back, along with my c...
My subject heading reflects what I was thinking today.............. Recycling of the same old stale, trite and childish "Uplift your fellow workers and customers- reflect our core values of honesty and kindness, etc" mantra has appeared at our store now. (No mention of increasing wages or bene...
I tried to refuse it over and over again, i told him i wasn't able to accept it... So he insisted so many times, he slipped it in the piece of paper he had asked for to write down what he wanted written on the cake. I wasn't sure if i should take it or not... i ended up taking it :o i just don't want to get in trouble...
I've seen a couple of posts here about relief pay. Back in June some time I worked in our dairy department (which isn't my department). Relief pay isn't on my paystub for that week, so I'm wondering if I can still file for it. I had no clue about the pay until I looked at this forum board.
