One afternoon, my girlfriend who was off that day, and I who just got off work that day from Kroger were being harassed by a customer. The customer randomly says move hitch to my girlfriend. So my girlfriend replies back saying excuse me. They get into an argument and I eventually separate them from the...
Have you ever seen one of your co-managers doing clicklist duties like picking and attending, complete with wearing the clicklist t-shirt? I have, on several occasions, seen two of our store's co-managers doing that. I guess it was just that bad that they had to.
One thing about retail workers everywhere, no matter which company, what time of day, who they are or what their gender, age, or race-----long-term retail workers all have that look on their faces. As a customer you've seen it, as a L.T. retail worker you've worn it. It's a mix of despair, bitter anger...
Apparetly there have been 3 or 4 complaints about how he is treating and talking to employees. Does the Union rep have to report to Kroger this meeting? Is there a "next step" if things are not resolved?
I've been trying, lately, to teach customers on Uscan about the Alt ID. Because some of them have their smartphones and have this app that displays their plus card barcode on the screen to be scanned. Problem is, Uscan's scanner can't read the screens on their smartphones, so they gotta call the atten...
I work in grocery, particularly dairy ATM. As of the last two schedules, grocery hours have been cut heavily by store management. I work at a Marketplace mainly on 2nd shift. I'm friends with a person that works in produce and does cut fruit. Today, she was terribly upset because apparently her produce manager told her that the position of cut fruit is being eliminated. The work is supposed to be now contracted out, so I guess that means a company will ship us fruit that's al...
I have been told those jobs are the same, several managers including our Admin that runs payroll say they are different job codes. How is it in your store? One of the reasons I took the Utility job was that I didn't have to bag anymore!!
Im the backup in my department. I have a great boss but i Would say their biggest weakness is not holding people accountable or if they are excessively talking or doing what they arent supposed to telling them to get back to work. they hold me accountable and tell me to get back to work. Its frustrating be...
A customer starts getting angry because electric scooter cart was going dead and was only able to move about 10 feet at a time, stop for about 30 seconds then move on. The customer wasn't far from checkout. She just keeps sitting there griping to me to get another so I go to the front to check for another an...
I read the article in the Cincy paper that said Mullen said that Kroger was a 120 billion dollar company and we can take care of ourself. Sounds like he isn't too keen on a merger. Right before I was hired at Kroger I actually applied at Target and it was the strangest experience ever. I am an older lady and a...
