Does kroger allow bereavement leave in the event of a direct family member loss? I read a few contracts ago that we were allowed up to one month off (three weeks). Is that still true or did it get removed in the recent contract?
For working on Thanksgiving, is it in it's own category as "Holiday Pay"? Or would it be in the "Regular Earning" section? I worked 33 hours last week including Thanksgiving. I think the paystub looks right, but I'm not sure. It says: Holiday Pay - 4.1 hours Legal Holiday - 4 hours Regular Earning - 28 h...
I just got hired as an overnight stocker at my local Kroger. I decided to take it because my boyfriend and I just moved into our first apartment together, and he also works nights stocking somewhere else. So our schedules will be relatively the same. I've never worked overnight anywhere though, so I'm...
I got hired Last month and Ive done a few shifts but my name is never down on the schedule to work and I have to keep ringing eve few days to find out when I'm meant to be working next, I got promised when I got hired that I would get 20 hours a week but that's never happened. I don't mean how long it seems like it takes I mean recorded how long it actually takes. My Store has 20 rack carts and it take me and about a hour. The 15 rack ones are faster but in general about a hour. And my store is open 24/7 is on the top ones in my city so cookies never stay too long always have to do them. An...
What is the Kroger policy regarding writing a check for cigs or writing a check for cigs as well as for other items? This is regarding customers who do this.

I'm a produce clerk and I'm interested in joining another retail company to hopefully work in produce. Any companies you'd recommend? Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, etc.?
stacking things on top of the 4 pack gallon waters. It never works. Every day we have to fumble with 10 or so cases of this crap. Never fails, they're smashed, leaking, etc. Usually they've leaked all over the boxes and when you pick them up, the water stays on the pallet while you hold the floppy, wet b...
So I posted on hear back in October about getting full time and how someone with less seniority was given full time and how I was just gonna sneak it. This week was my 12th week and I had 39 Hours so I'm assuming I got it (Contract states 12 consecutive weeks at 36 hours or more is full time.) So I was curious, h...
I called our union rep one day to see if I could get any back pay due to my hours being shortened over the last month. They told me the only way was to bump someone lower in seniority than me during that period so I could have my hours. So I don't get back pay but at least I have my hours back. Win one, lose one.
Tho I've spent a decade buying the Great Value and Sam's Choice generic products, I'm recently finding myself gravitating more to the Kroger brand stuff. The prices are at least comparable and, frankly, the quality is better. Examples of crappy Great Value stuff: paper towels. Man, that stuff is sk...
So I started at Ralphs about a month1/2 ago not including "training". Working in the Service Deli. This is just some of the many incomprehensible situations that have come up that I need to ask some of you folks to help me out with. Though I suspect there are no solutions to the dysfunctional manage...
