I've worked for Kroger for almost six years now and in those six years, I've helped out at a few other stores besides my home store. It seems in the past couple of years, maybe the past year in particular, employees have become less and less hesitant to freely and openly complain and bicker (among each ot...
I just started with Kroger last month. I worked as a cashier over 20yrs ago which did not qualify for experience credits to increase my pay rate. I have over 12yrs experience as a customer service and I am currently a buyer at my day job, I deal with vendors every day, which takes great customer service s...
I've been a cashier at Kroger for a little while but there is one thing that irritates the hell out of me: There is always either a or an item brought to my register without it's barcode or it says "item not found". I know you are supposed to give the item to your bagger so they can go get it but we have elderly b...

So apprently our store is doing an employee costume contest for all departments for the moonlight madness sale. Money to the winner. What I'm wondering is even with money how many people are going to actually show up in costume. Especially those that aren't a part of the "glamorous" front end. Sinc...

last election everytime I got a newsletter it was "obama." You couldn't escape it. This election I hadn't seen one piece of information telling me who I should vote for until today: the democratic candidate, go figure. No thanks, fam.
I may be calling in tomorrow. I have a sore throat, cough, ear ache, and chills. However, I'm waiting to see how I feel in the morning before I decide to call off. I have to work at 9:15am.
How do you avoid being baited or bullied into quitting by management? Ive been called up multiple times to have a chat with management about some frivolous bull**** (getting a complaint from one of those customers that complain to corporate even after you do everything for them and yell at you and you...
Hello, I just got a interview for a overnight stocker position at a local Kroger. They close at 12am and open at 6:30am though. Does that mean I would be working in between that time or something? Also, would the store be closed during that time..meaning no one can come in? Thanks!
Today I was looking at my employee file, shredding old paperwork we don't need. (Cabinet left open for me to clear out old papers.) I found all my past write ups both store copies and "employer copies" plus one from six months ago today. Into the shredder they went. Now it's like I have had no write ups wha...
We went through 2 comanagers in my 4 months at kroger. While comanagers are often transfered frequently from what I hear, these two up and quit completely. Rumor has it first Co was supposed to be promoted to manager of the store she was in and replace the current manager. Obviously that didn't happen s...

People can see who is on the can when they walk through the door. Why would Kroger not fix this? When I have to go and that's the only stal...

I mean, I have to say that I do have preferences for which cashiers I bag for, but the cashiers barely pay attention to whose bagging unless it's their friend or something. It just kind of crossed my mind while I was at work.
I recently rang up my brother and was told by the supervisor on the floor afterwards that I am not allowed to ring up any family or friends including my boyfriend if he ever came in.She then went on to tell him that he could not be in the customer service area because he is distracting....He was just grabbi...
