Even though I've only been at one store, I've heard people from other stores and truck drivers say that my store is the only one or one of very few stores that pallets have to be transported via sales floor to the designated departments. Are there really stores out there that you can take a pallet from the...
Okay I have a question. I've been getting scheduled for the past month or two 7-3 every weekend. I'm a bagger and I have to clean the bathrooms every morning and all that. The bagger who usually does it gets the weekends off now. He has more seniorty than me. Is there anyway to get out of this. Now I like gett...
Okay, Who else is dealing with some major shakeups of your department? People being moved out/in, hours being reduced overall and new hires getting more hours than seniority people? We will be in bad shape come the holidays! And, we've reduced your hours, but you still need to help Produce, Floral, F...
A couple of months ago, our manager held a meeting where she was trying to emphasize a point about not making trains of carts and only push 6 at a time(which we obviously won't do). In this meeting, she kept referring to metal areas where we hold carts but our store doesn't have these. When a bagger correc...
I'm about 5 weeks into grocery so relatively new. Beginning this week my manager showed me how to scan backstock and edit stuff like bohs, mins, and allocations in cao. This Sunday on backstock day I went through and thoroughly scanned everything that I have noticed being a problem for backstock in ho...
The Quality of your Website really is terrible. If the company is so Great then why would there be such a problem to get your schedule off the web. Also, once printed your manager should have to contact you on schedule changes. What a mess at the Smiths store in the deli in Havasu and from the comments ever...
I used to work for Kroger in Cincinnati. I was a deli clerk. Right before I left last year, I was told that I had to shave off my mustache because Kroger was starting a new policy of no facial hair in the delis because of complaints of hair in customer's food. We were told that this rule was being enforce...
But does, Kroger ever consider reimbursing their employees for getting their personal items ruined, while working a side job for them? Ex. I was asked to come over to our new store location which is going to be opening this Wed. And instead of doing bakery stuff as I would have thought. I and another emp...
Pretty much that. They wont out right say it, but it is clear as day. Speaking with the vets of the store they are in shock they are going this low. At this point they are finding every little thing to try to write us up for. Received an email that if we quarter punch = write up, miss any step of OrderEv = write u...
I shouldn't let this bother me, but it sure as hell does. At my store, it seems to me, that the people that do file maintenance (tag hanging, signs, pricing, and whatnot) are among the laziest of the lazy, and neither management nor the front end CSM or ACSM say anything about it. Almost always, there is a...
I think it's so stupid that we can't even take 10 seconds to drink, damn water on the front end. I'm a coutesy clerk and I got bitched out by my front end manager for taking a sip of water while I was doing a floor sweep yesterday. Like wtf. I see management eating all the time on the clock but we can't.
Hey I've been working at kroger since 05/09/16 I was wondering about the pay section in my about info. I'm just curious. Is it allowed for someone who is an FES to have their daughter as a bagger. Cause I'm pretty sure that's nepotism at its finest right there and company policy for my division prohibits it because of supervision, disciplinary reasons, records, confidentiality etc. Now I know that...
I have been working part time at my store for three years now. I started out in Drug/GM and in Nov 2015, I asked to be moved to cashier as there was more hours available. Since this past summer I have been trying to get full time status. We have had a good amount of people quit or get fired so that gave us even mo...
Hey peeps, Have some more questions about the lovely bakery. Namely this time, in regards to temp and number of cookies per sheet. I don't know if it's already set in stone or what. But as usual I'm getting 50 different answers to this question. So if anybody in bakery could help me out, that would be grea...
