I have had 20 consecutive weeks in a row of working 40 hours a week. Now they want to cut me back to 30 hours a week. Does anyone know how many weeks you have to work consecutively of 40 hours to be mandated full time?
This si to all the Night Crews out there. Keep up the good work, i know the pay sucks at times but the longer you do it the more you'll make (atleast in my store anyway). I salute you guys as we are the only ones that do any REAL work in our stores. Im about to go in to a 7500 piece night on 4 trucks with 4 people. We a...
Walmart has a choir. And apparently they paid for all the employees in the choir to go out to a hotel to record a CD, and paid for their meals. Who would want this? And more importantly when is Kroger getting one?
I am a former Kroger employee that wishes to let others know my case. I worked for the company for over five years And had been harassed, called a liar, treated unfairly , and most recently written up for being a tiny bit late while others were over two hours late including a manager. I finally had enough...
2 assistant managers love to make a deal about store sweeps being 28 and 29 minutes. We at our store now have to log the sweeps and bathroom checks on the clock. So I had a few that was maybe 2 minutes under. It was just an honest mistake. They are sussposed to be 30 minutes. One was like 28 and one was 29. It was...
Hi I got kicked out of the service desk because I did no fill out our money order log ( did not know we had one) when my customer got 3000 dollars in money orders, and because I lost us 150 dollars on a lottery ticket I did not cancel in time. Do you think if I talk to my store manager and ask for forgiveness, and a...
Hello, I was recently hired by Kroger in Michigan. I filled out my paperwork on Monday and went for orientation today. When I was filling out the paperwork, I noticed a form that had a header indicating it was a union form, and when I asked if I had to join the union I was told by the person (co-manager I bel...
This might be a long one. all gender references were changed to neutral "the employee" For all i know ill get in trouble for this too. we have a employee with ...issues, the employee went on sick leave for 6 months, came back for 2 weeks, then went on sick leave again for over a year, then came ba...
We are having a MAJOR corporate walkthrough and I just can't seem to make myself concerned at all. If they show, fine. If not, who cares? I even had one dept. Head tell me to quit lollygagging and get to work. I told her its my time(I was off the clock and not yet punched in) needless to say it went over very po...
Long story short, I was fired in 2008 after 4 weeks right before my probation period was going to end. I was called to the managers office where he said that I was too slow checking out, and said it "wasn't a good fit, and honestly you easily could have slipped through the cracks and made it off probat...
I was on lot duty and was bringing a load toward the back when I saw a lady being dropped off near the door. I put the carts up and noticed a $10 bill on the ground from where she got out. I went inside to track her down and handed her the money. She told me there was more and us and a co-manager went back out to do a ...
1. I have training tomorrow and was wondering if the badge or employee number is what we use to sign in for shifts? 2. How and when do we sign up for the union? 3. I'm specifically a produce clerk and was wondering what the job is like from other produce clerks? (ie. hours, working environment etc.)
Just wondering if that's allowed? I'm pretty sick but I think the manager is going to give me a hard time. I don't call off a lot, but I did call off once a little under 2 months ago. I was just wondering if they could say no, you have to come in?
Just got hired last week. I have yet to have training or any kind of orientation. I'm a male. I imagine they provide the uniform top, (not sure what color) and just wear khakis and comfortable shoes?? Pretty much what colors can and can't you wear? All company's have certain abbreviations that they use...
I'm tempted to answer how I think that question should be answered, but I would like to keep my job. I don't even work in the Meat Department and I'm tired of hearing that question. People see something online and on the Evening News about what is basically gelatin being used as a filler and they are all u...
Hi, i work at a Dillons store, and today a guy was fired for really no good reason. He had an emergency call from his wife stating that she was being arrested and he needed to come get the kid. He tells the appropriate people, go's and gets his kid and takes him to day care. He came back in and was fired on the sp...
I apologize if this subject is a repost. I was reading a recent Rewards flyer with updated rules on the rewards points and how they can (ie can't) be used. Points are now are only good for two months. Not only that, but they are tallied monthly, and separately, and one month's points can only be used at a ti...
As stated in the title, I haven't had enough time to get my ExpressHR set up. Working with maintenance during the night shift there isn't much free time or anyone there to help me out. Plus at night, there isn't a computer I could access long enough to set it up without having to get someone who's been work...
I know it's common but any pointers? Sometimes I feel like walking out but I need the job. I work with a few kids that do NOTHING unless they literally have to. One orders me to do a bunch of work or just walks of while there are a bunch of customers so I have to deal with it. Then will act like a big shot and lo...
