Harassment?
(Preview)
I'm called into office almost every single day with no union representation. Always the manager and a co manager telling me how awful they think I am. I make all my orders, never miss out of stocks, displays and shippers are 100% compliant. It's always I'm not mean enough to my team, or why isnt my 7 hour l...

Even the union is worried about "Make it Right"
(Preview)
I got a letter from my union a few days ago. I usually don't read them, but I decided to read this one. It mentioned how pharmacy techs within the newer marketplace stores are not part of the union, but because they can, Kroger took away paid benefits without notice. It also mentioned how Kroger is usi...

Who decides on experience pay?
(Preview)
I never received any experience pay. Started at $7.45, same as a lot of people who have never had a job. I have worked in customer service for 20 plus years. I know they only give credit for the last 60 months, but I was an assistant manager in a kitchen store for that time period. I have used a cash register!...

Learning Front End Register?
(Preview)
I was asked to cover a shift this weekend inside as cashier. I told them I didn't know how to run the registers inside and they said that they'll give me two hours of training the day before the shift I'm supposed to cover. So my question is.. How hard is it to learn the registers? I work in the FC and the regis...

Why do FES....
(Preview)
Why do FES always think they are responsible for the other front end employees? Is it that they don't understand that they are on the same payscale? Is it because they are on power trips? Do they think management has given them the right to boss people around? The only responsibilities of FES are: 1) Org...

The name of the game
(Preview)
Since the creation of the third and fourth hiring tiers at Kroger it has become blatantly obvious that they wish to create a tension filled work place where turn over is increased. Low paid employers with little ability to advance to a higher rate and not enough hours to make a living are more likely to...

Does anybody else here have a "contest" going where if your name gets mentioned in the customer comments that you get a happy face sticker on a board. After so many mentions you get a silly pin...other things are yellow shirt and gift cards. If so.....do you find that it is not real fair? W...

Does the Toy Department Lead earn more than regular employees?
(Preview)
I work in the deli (non-management) and I earn top pay, which is $13.65. I saw a job posting for "Level IV Toy Department Lead" at my store. I didn't even know that there was such a thing because I've never seen it on the list of department managers. I'm debating whether or not to apply for it. Do...

I hate Derby Day
(Preview)
I swear you would have thought it was the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas as busy as the store was today. The bakery usually does around $17,500 a week. As of Thursday, we were already over $20,000. I wouldn't be surprised if our sales were double what they normally are by the time the week is ove...

Nothing like spending an hour doing an order only for a manager to undo all of that. . . Situation: It's 2 days til inventory. I DECREASED my order by 90 percent.
