1. A telephone screening process by out of state screeners that just confirm your application info. 2. 8 hours of unnecessary bull**** employment training that had nothing to do remotely with my position just to give someone else (the trainer) something to do with her time. 3. Over two weeks spe...

Does kroger allow bereavement leave in the event of a direct family member loss? I read a few contracts ago that we were allowed up to one month off (three weeks). Is that still true or did it get removed in the recent contract?
For working on Thanksgiving, is it in it's own category as "Holiday Pay"? Or would it be in the "Regular Earning" section? I worked 33 hours last week including Thanksgiving. I think the paystub looks right, but I'm not sure. It says: Holiday Pay - 4.1 hours Legal Holiday - 4 hours Regular Earning - 28 h...
I just got hired as an overnight stocker at my local Kroger. I decided to take it because my boyfriend and I just moved into our first apartment together, and he also works nights stocking somewhere else. So our schedules will be relatively the same. Never fails, they're smashed, leaking, etc. Usually they've leaked all over the boxes and when you pick them up, the water stays on the pallet while you hold the floppy, wet b...

This week was my 12th week and I had 39 Hours so I'm assuming I got it (Contract states 12 consecutive weeks at 36 hours or more is full time.) So I was curious, h...
I called our union rep one day to see if I could get any back pay due to my hours being shortened over the last month. They told me the only way was to bump someone lower in seniority than me during that period so I could have my hours. So I don't get back pay but at least I have my hours back. Win one, lose one.
