Tho I've spent a decade buying the Great Value and Sam's Choice generic products, I'm recently finding myself gravitating more to the Kroger brand stuff. The prices are at least comparable and, frankly, the quality is better. Examples of crappy Great Value stuff: paper towels. Man, that stuff is sk...
So I started at Ralphs about a month1/2 ago not including "training". Working in the Service Deli. This is just some of the many incomprehensible situations that have come up that I need to ask some of you folks to help me out with. Though I suspect there are no solutions to the dysfunctional manage...
If you're going up to the timeclock to punch out for a break or lunch and you want to wait for the time to switch over to the next minute, it will have just changed as you walked up, you'll have to stand there for what feels like an eternity before giving up after 30 seconds and just clocking out. On the othe...
I because Full Time in September (through our manager having a surgery that put him out of work for an advantageous amount of time) but today I was told that I would have to transfer stores. Just because I was full time, but I don't know why I was told now. Is that right? Can they force me to switch stores? Th...
I am a utility clerk, and I USE to like coming into work. We have a new assistant manager and enjoyment for coming to work is PERMANTELY ruined. No matter what I do, she ALWAYS points out the mistakes. She's there EVERYDAY. EVEN on her days off. I come in and get started working, and I get b *tched at. A custo...
Lomg story short I'm working in a new (to me) store. This new store is a mess. My suggestions for improvement are met with borderline hostility. My new plan of action is to attempt to use best practices/key retailing standards as my 'argument' or method for making improvements within my department. I...
What sort of sh!t storm can I expect? I know Monday night we had 3x as much to stock and even with the store manager pitching in once he arrived and realized the freightpocalypse was upon us it took us 11 hrs to finish. Can only imagine the shelves will be wiped clean today.
Can anyone talk me out of it? At the rate I am going, I am going to have a stroke. I am in a new store. I think part of my contract is I have to stay at the store for 2 years. If I step down, I do not want to stay in this store to pick up for the slackers. I have been given many new incompetent employees to work with...
I've got a part time job starting at Frys soon, its just a stop gap until I get into my chosen profession. When I've visited frys in the past I always wondered what the stickers on the employees badges mean? They are like gold, green, silver and purple. Any ideas?
havent been able to find a clear answer. I went to ESS and the pay stub went in today (pay stub usually comes in online on Wednesday.) Does this mean we get paid Tomorrow?
Is there any way I can be denied a vacation? I don't mean for a specific date, but for the entire year. I'm having trouble getting someone to take over my 40 hours (file maintenance) and my boss is saying things like "if its a heavy week you ain't getting a vacation" but if my "relief" is only available on he...
I was at work one day when a young lady, who was disabled, needed help into the regular wheelchair. I looked over to where where we keep our electric chairs. There was one, still plugged in, occupied by someone who wasn't even remotely disabled in any way, shape, or form. This person also had a cart full o...
The paper schedule says OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF for next week Thanksgiving week all week zero hours! I have been receiving direct deposit. I am part time when I reported to work today I was told there was a check for me up front. It had an ending date of tomorrow and had two days on it of the four days I wo...
Has anyone had managers ignore their availability? I changed my availability to have two days off in a row for medical reasons (my doctor is several hours away and I have to travel), however I keep getting scheduled for these days. They accepted my availability and it was a permanent change. It was acc...
