Quick question: I was unloading the produce/meat truck and had to take a pallet with a hand jack into the meat cooler. The problem was that the pallet was leaning, and it fell over while I was in there. To be honest it was a loooong night, and was a few minutes before my shift had ended, and I figured that the...
Has anyone here worked on Black Friday? Does Kroger recognize it and bump up pay for working on it? I wouldn't think they would, but the reason I ask is because I was offered to trade shifts. I have a 10am-6pm shift lined up for next Friday (day after Thanksgiving) and I expect to be celebrating with famil...
How many of you don't go a full 8 hour shift without thinking about quitting and finding a new job? It's been what, 9 months since I've thought about doing this and yet here I am. Not a day goes by that I don't have a fantasy of quitting or transferring. One of these days, though...
A customer was in a hurry to go number #2 in the bathroom that he missed the toilet and pooped on the floor. The customer then stepped on his poop and tracked it all over the bathroom floor. Anyone cleaned up poop/vomit at their stores?
I have 4 personal days i have not used yet. I was paid for them this week. I still want to use them and have tried but my manager keeps denying them saying understaffed. are there any union rules or anything that says kroger has to give me my personal days or can they just pay me for them and not let me actually...
Okay, so Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday as are general pay-periods. Is it right to assume checks won't be available until Friday or Saturday with no mail running on that Thursday?
Does anyone know how the kronos system works and can tell me what happens if you forget to clock out? Does it clock you out at the time of your last break punch or does it alert them of a missing punch? Because I think I forgot to clock out tonight. -_-
I've been at Kroger almost 3 years and I don't know the answer to this. If I change my availability for one week only, will my availability after that week stay how it is now or will I have to change it afterwards?
I previously resigned from my position at Kroger . I still had a weeks vacation left, will I be able to draw that? Exactly what can I do since I left ? I was in the union for 5 yrs, do I get my vacation paycheck, what about my guarnishment I had on my check, what will they do about that? Thank you...
For example, for the longest time I was never able to find "On the Mend" by Trey Rollins, until finally it came on one day, and I quickly realized what it was, ran to the back and put my phone under a speaker, and Shazamed it.. there's only been one place on the entire internet that I've been able to find to li...
I have dealt with this problem before while working as a cashier at the express lane... I ring up a customers order and bag all of their groceries. But before the customer pays, she asks me several questions about the prices of the items she wants to pay for. A line is forming behind her, but she continues...
Hey everybody, Anybody know by chance how much supplies from various depts. can actually fit into the reserve freezers? I'm curious cause with it being the holidays and there being so much distro stuff coming through to the bakery, we have to send much of it to the back freezers. And it's starting to ti...
I get paid $8.10 per hour, been working since August. I'm certified and union. According to my HRexpress after working 500 hours I'll be getting a 5 cent raise. Just wondering, will my next raises be only a nickel? Seems like no one can tell me anything about raises, neither HR people nor union represen...
we ran some backstock yesterday and got the carts looking pretty good, but it only lasted one day. Today's truck came and was loaded with distro's of lots of stuff---not stuff that will sell. We got several cases of select varieties of k-cup coffees, when I scanned them, we had a BOH of 30, we sold 1 in a...
When I first started, my grandmother was in her last days in hospice, I wanted to go down and visit her but was in my probationary period. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, this was short notice, as in I would be leaving that weekend. Called and spoke to a comanager, voiced my concerns about keeping my job a...
