I just started working at Kroger 2 days ago and I was curious about the dress code concerning the pants. I do have a pair of black slacks and a khaki dickie pantsbut I was also wondering if it would be noticeable to wear a dark black Jean? You can't really tell it's a jean and it looks like the dickies but of c...
What is krogers policy for those that are curently employed. I think that my manger found out im a big pot head and wants to get rid of me. I know i can pass the **** saliva tests but can i still get fired
If you give up a fulltime job voluntarily, I know you have to wait 1 year to sign for that same job, but if a part time backup position became available, could you sign it before the year was up?
If I did, I could get five or seven or ten mini-breaks a day during my eight hour shift, on top of a regular break. Of course, I'd be giving up years of my life in exchange for that... but hey, it would make my life easier in the short term!! Seriously though, it irritates me to no end to see people in the deli, p...
Im a department manager who is generally considered excellent at his job. We had our management team switched mostly out and now I'm losing 30-50 hours a week to the front end. Im still getting by but cleaning and customer happiness is suffering greatly. We go hours without eggs and milk at night. Is th...
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I had the store manager put me in the computer to use the handheld for ordering and scanning but for some reason CAO isn't showing up on the gun for me. Is there something I can do to get it on there? Or do I need to talk to the store manager again. Please help
So today was my 3rd day and I'm already ready to never bother showing again. First of all they hired me for O.N. stocker (which I requested) then put me straight on days as a c c. and the store I'm at is balls out crazy every damned day, all day. And I mean NO help, we're on a skeleton crew. Second, third and al...
So i've been at Kroger for a little over 2 years now and recently I started working 40-48 hours pretty much every week since we are so understaffed. My past 30-40 checks were all over 32 hours so my question is how long do you have to have an average over 32 hours to get status 3?
Hiya folks, I was just wondering- I called in sick this morning (I've been throwing up all night) and my manager told me that I need a doctor's note for the absence to be "excused." Is this true? It seems a little extreme for just one sick call. I can't get to a doctor today, because you can't just call in on a...

New to Nutrition...There are no hours enough for a lead. I am a regular clerk with some lead work(which is BS) such as ordering and staying on top with the CAO. I work 22 hours a week with 4 to 4.5 hours shifts Saturdays and Sundays and every other day during the week. What would be some tips on a daily to TRY a...
I just heard the rumor and then googled it. Anyone here know anything else? Our contract is up the end of June and our steward is being real quiet about it. I'm thinking our health insurance is gone......
could somebody explain why Kroger wanted two week schedules? I have always wrote my schedules down but sometimes when I check the schedules on the wall I have to make sure I remember what week we are in so I do not look at the wrong schedule. People are getting confused looking at two or three schedules at...
As a UC it pisses me off to no end sometimes if I am bagging near them. That voice annoys me, the customers trying to steal annoy me, and mostly when they look at me when I am bagging an order nearby for help, that also annoys me. Because either you can't tell that the bag area is not an area for a small baby cart...
The night crew is over worked under Stafford. Sometime not allowed breaks. Not paid for not taking a break forced to work overtime . being held resonsible for not sticking end caps which were never part of the crew's nightly duties. Morale is low and stress is very high.
I have been working as pharmacy tech for about 8 months but have been the most recent hire and therefore have the lowest seniority. Since I have been there the schedule has been done through select a shift, so my manager prints out all the available shifts and passes it around starting with the person wi...
Back in March, I finally had an interview at the Jackman/Laskey location in Toledo. My father applied for a job with a railroad exactly four years ago. He was not hired until 5/22/2012. He did not hear from corporate until then. It only took a few months to get hired (still too long). I have not hear...
