I had an interesting conversation with store-level management today on the topic of the shortage of applications, the high turnover rate, the frustration being felt by hourly associates working in understaffed departments that suffer even more due to having to help the front end, how this frustr...
Isn't it annoying when you go in to shop on your day off and your supervisor comes over and starts complaining about something? It's bad enough having to listen to it while you're working, but I don't know why you should have to put up with it while you're not being paid to paid to put up with it. Or how abou...
What does CA stand for and what is it? It was scribbled on my report from another one of our dumb mystery shoppers (apparently I didn't acknowledge, assist, but did appreciate...... wha?) Anyway, when I got called into the office for a lecture, the store manager told me not to pay attention to the CA but...
So I called in this morning, I go in at 6 but the ice/snow storm got worse during the night. My supervisor said to go in at 10 because it would melt away. It was still worse, didn't call. I've never called in and I've worked there for a year. Can that be a write up?
12 hours *again* this week, despite the fact that I will have been there one year in a couple of weeks. As I understand it, doesn't e-Sked work around seniority? Maybe I'm wrong with that one...... One of my co-workers, a younger worker, said that they're trying to 'punish' me because I keep complainin...
UFCW 700 president Joe Chorpenning got a raise from $193.000 to $256.000 in one year, 2012 to 2013! The union also gave a union retiree a new Cadillac upon retirement! Lowest paid union rep was $47,000! Plus lots of benefits! Their pay raises should be same percentages we get. Don't work for Kroger, g...
I'am so done with working at Kroger. I honestly don't feel comfortable working there anymore but I don't know how to tell my manager that I'm putting my 2 weeks notice. Do I have to give a explanation? I honestly haven't looked for another job, but I just can't work there anymore. I hate my department cow...
There's a panel next to the register with 5 options and you have to press your level of satisfaction before the transaction will finish. I've done the top one every time because i know anything less than that means nothing to management. of course this is india and i haven't seen any survey number or web...
So they let one of the new supervisor's do the schedule for the first time last week (FEM was off on bereavement), and we're now seeing just how messed up it is. At this point its either funny how bad this guy managed everything, or just how much he's getting me back for not wanting to stay over one day last w...
You're right nutrition horror, I do spend to much time on this forum. At least I do still work for Kroger. Why people come here and piss and moan about their job, then quit, and still visit a Kroger employee website is beyond me. You think they would just move on. This applies to you to Missus white bread. I...
I work at a Kroger in Arkansas. We are getting new uniforms. Right now we wear a shirt with a red collar and the rest of the shirt is black and grey striped. We're suppose to get our new uniform's at the first of the year. I heard we're going to look like a Wal-mart employee (blue collared shirt w/khaki's) Uc...
Well a while back ago I had some arguments with my department head and me and a couple others wanted her to either change her attitude or leave. We made up and I thought things were good with us and I found out today that she is being transferred to another store, a bigger and better one. So now we're getting...
Hi guys, I've been an off and on reader here and been working for Ralphs for over 5 years now. I've seen a few incidents or issues that just don't seem right here and there, but nothing that I've been much involved in as I usually get more work done than anyone I'm working with. I'm technically an Asst Deli M...
I'm honestly annoyed by the backstabbing/talking ****, and laziness that seems to make up 95% of Kroger, excluding most of us that post on here. Today I got reprimanded for something that is not my fault today at work because my coworker complained to the manager. (They are always over 8 minutes late c...
my question pertains to the fact that I have an ongoing injury. its not from work but me working is making it worse. I had to call in twice with a note from the doctor stating I could not work. they wrote me up after the first one. this last one my doctor put me off work for 5 days and gave me a note stating it was d...
ive only been working for Kroger since end of December. We got a huge snowstorm yesterday. We have about 9 inches of snow. Gov declared state of emergency yesterday. Nobody has been going in or out unless 4 wheel drive. I don't have 4 wheel drive. I had to call in yesterday and today. There's no way I can g...
There's one that's currently being built close to where I am. Amazingly, the distance from my home to this new super Kroger is the same as the one I currently frequent. Anyway, I have witnessed how a Kroger is brought upon our great[1] land. No big deal right? After all, it took them four months just to...
