A few months ago, my schedule got changed on my day off. When one of my six supervisors called to chew me out over not being at work, I told him I didn't know I was supposed to be at work, and I wasn't prepared to come in. Since that day, this supervisor has had it in for me. The thing is, whenever he wants to go o...
I have been with Kroger since September last year in Produce. Average 34-36 hours a week. The currant Back-up maybe be leaving soon and would love to have her position assuming she transfers out. How do I apply for that position? or to whom do I need to tal...
I have been working at kroger in meat for almost a year now. Started out as a clerk, and now I have luckily learned how to cut according to krogers standards. I am now responsible for training new clerks (I am the most senior clerk) but now I am responsible for the 3rd cut of the day. We actually do a full 3rd...
On the hrexpress site which direct deposit type should I select for ALL of My money to go into my checking account? The options are remaining net pay, percent, and amount. I was going to ask this question in orientation since this is my first job but I did not want to seem stupid because most of the people...
Hi I am in training for a new store in Texas and was told when I was hired that I would be eligible for Insurance in 90 days and I only had to work 15 hours a week to qualify. They also guarantee 15 hours a week. I also was told after 90 days I could add my family on the policy. Today an employee told me that would be...
I work in the deli, I currently make $8.05 an hour (minimum wage is $7.25 here). Next week, I was told I am going to be on the front end all week, as a courtesy clerk, and because courtesy clerks don't get up to $8.05, I will only be paid like $7.45 per hour that week. Is that even allowed?
ok I work in a dept that only gets 120 hrs or less ,sometimes 125-130 a week. We have 3 full time employees and no part timers. Not even a backup if someone calls in. So management gives us an inexperienced person to train in 8 hrs or less for vacations. Yet we must get the job done without o.t. A person could g...
I work self check and every day my relief is late. I come to work on time so I expect to leave on time. Im not talking 5 mintues but usually anywhere between 10-20 sometimes 30. It drives me crazy because certain days, I have to leave immediately to head to class. Its not just one, its multiple people that is...
the other day I happened to glimpse at a paper provided to one of our FEFS. said paper apparently was a refresher (as Kroger loves to do on paper for its employees...) on how to be a FEFS. mentioned 'Batman and Robin' technique. ....what's that?
Can you guys view your pay stubs on express hr for this weeks check? If not what time are they usually available o view? I started 2 weeks ago from today, will I get paid tomorrow?
Just thought I'd share a funny story from last week. Woman comes up to me with her receipt (older lady). She goes "Well can you tell me what this is?" It's some brand of chicken and beef broth. I go "Oh, well I'm not sure.. It's just something you've purchased." She freaks out on me a...
Tomorrow is my first day at Krogers. I have reading some posts so I kinda know what to expect. I have a lot of questions that I will save for my coworkers. There is one thing I really need to have an answer to before I start. Do I have to wear shoes and sox?
Sorry, I need to rant! I wish that certain people would realize just how impossible the expectations Kroger has for their employees. Let's see: Courtesy clerks are suppose to sack groceries but not put too many items in the bag, they might break because Kroger uses those cheap bags, but put as much a...
Troy Greenwell in the dairy department at 346 has got to be the biggest dick I have ever known in all my years at Kroger. Everyone else I've talked to has said the same thing.
So I got called in to close our fuel centre last night. This man (a regular) pulls up and pays with his card at the pump and after pumping 2 gallons he realised he accidentally chose to use 10 Cents out of his full dollar off discount so he hung up the nozzle and it ended the transaction which meant now he had 9...
I had my first day a few days ago and was told in a 4hr shift I must get 2 isles stocked! My first day I got half my isle stocked and the manager made it clear if we don't speed up we'll be done with kroger after our 30days. Any tips on stocking faster?
