I am a part-time courtesy clerk/bagger. Last week was more decent than usual initially, 19 hours, but then I was asked to stay longer on Friday and Saturday leading up to the Superbowl. In the chaos, I wound up with 31 hours and my store's work week ends after Saturday. But...after doing 6 hours on Sunda...
This weekend we had a "major snowstorm" predicted to hit us. We were so busy our manager made everyone stay over a minimum of 1 hour. To make things better, she didnt tell half of the employees. I only found out because the FEM was telling the cashier I was bagging for. I ended up with a 9 hour shi...
So my Kroger has been notorious for not paying me for the right amount of hours. This has been in the form of shortchanging me. Usually they fix this a couple paychecks later. However, this week I am not sure if they gave me more or less than I'm supposed to get. So here's the deal. Last week I think I...
So next week's schedule was posted. I have a wonderful 12 hours. Yay. But at least four of our courtesy clerks have PAL labeled into the boxes of the days that they work. One of them works four days next week and is "PAL" each day. What the hell is my store up to this time? I don't have "PAL&q...

When do we get a pay raise that's in our contract for Februar? Will it be on the next paycheck? and yes I am topped out on my pay. I work in Columbus ohio if that helps
I was scheduled from 2-10:30 tonight. We were so slow that the closing CSM let me leave a 1/2 hour early. I really had no complaints about it. I clocked out, grabbed my stuff, and left. I wasn't gonna stick around for another 1/2 hour when I was told that I could leave. There was really no point of even havin...
Lately our store hasn't been ordering cigarettes. We are always out. I went to get some coffee and cigarettes this morning and of course they were out again. I took the customer survey so I could get my 50 bonus fuel points. I said as long as I was going to have to go to another store for cigs I might as wel...
I used to buy my snacks and desserts from Kroger. The 24-count cookies, pie, angel food cake, and even the bollilo rolls. Unfortunately, I'll have to take my business to Tom Thumb instead. Everything got more expensive. The 24-count cookies had been reduced to 16, yet still costs $3.99 when I used t...
Why don't i have an option for this under express hr anymore? I wanted to see what my benefits were (I have an x under retirement plan on my w-2 also) and i don't have the Total Compensation link available anymore. All the others are there.
How is the healthcare changes going on your health insurance the union passed last year? How is the now spouse coverage going? What is it costing you for spouse coverage now plus yours? I must say mine is not going worth a crap.
I've just been told that I'm next in line to become a floor supervisor. One of the other supervisors said that they were just thrown into the mix, and had to learn a lot of the stuff by themselves, due to our store being busy and there being little time to do actual training. So does anyone on here know how to...
soups on,winter time bananza. I order my own isle. Continually receive large amounts of stock. I've been told our store gets more distribution because our sales are 3x's as much as most stores in our area. All I know to do is flat the soup once it goes off sell. My thaughts are the warehouse has to much on h...
At least two weeks now I've looked at the posted weekly schedule and it says I work over 25 hours(that's never happened in months) but looking at it shows it's more like 16. My supervisor's doing this by scheduling me in a single day from 12 AM to 4 PM. I doubt that this is just a typo now seeing as how this is t...
I got my W2 forms in recently and noticed something new; the retirement plan box is checked. Anybody know why this might be? I haven't signed up for or approved of a retirement plan. As you can tell, I'm young and honestly haven't even looked into this stuff. Thanks for any honest answers.
A small snow storm came through my area overnight yesterday. Most of the roads in town were cleared by noon, but most of the employees that called in lived outside of town where the roads were impassable. But did customers care? No! Did management allow anyone to stay over to cover? No! I was only...
My store is cutting hours for everybody on the front end starting next week. Not sure of the other departments though. Me & two other daytime baggers (the rest are high schoolers) are going from 40 hours to 20 or less. We recently got two new daytime baggers, but they have only both worked two days th...
