Today I was called to the manager's office to be given a layoff notice. I had to sign it and another employee was there and had to sign it as a witness. It stated that when there was no work I wouldn't have any scheduled hours. I've been working for Kroger for about 6 months and I've had several weeks with no s...
If a part time (13 years) employee gets full time, does it come with a pay raise?? How much?? I am in district 1 Also if you fill out the union papers and get them to the Union steward, can they deny me a full time position??
Does Kroger ever close or give their employees a "half day" in the event of bad weather such as icy roads? Or do they cut employees slack if they call in due to these conditions?
As the title says. Happy New Year. Well... at least for the east coast. I still have less than an hour left before it's my turn. I shall now disappear and splurge myself until tomorrow morning. For those in the West Coast, no one cares about ya. Damn, I wish I'm still with my caretaker family back in T...
I have seen in said in several post that kroger is only concerned with the bare minimum when it comes to employees, hours, etc. What really is this "standard" because from what i see happening in my store it isnt helping any of the duties/things that must be done for the stores.
So I work at one of the convenience stores on the west coast and was told today that I was suspended for a week. It is the first time I've been suspended in my life. The reasoning was because over the past two weeks I was between 2-8 minutes late to work and I was late leaving two days by like a half hour. Majori...
Unlike the other two topics towards this poor soul, this isn't a troll topic. Seriously, we should band together and save this guy. Come to District Q and work with me and my friend in Frozen Foods lol. Never have to worry about store management, and all I expect(I'm dept head) is for you to put the stuff o...
Do paper checks go out on new years day? I still don't understand the whole "Push this check back a day for no reason" thing.... I scanned the threads and all I found was someone speaking non sense about checks being pushed until January 7th.
At my neighborhood Kroger store, they've put up a fuel center. Took 'em long enough----the construction began last June. But, a good friend of mine texted me late last night; she and her three babies live right across the street from that place, and there is an over head/out door speaker that is BLASTI...
So there is a guarantee in the deli that says if there is no 8 piece fried chicken or rotisserie chicken between 11am and 7pm, you get it free, two days ago I went to get a rotisserie chicken, and got a coupon. Today I went to redeem the coupon and they were out again, so I went to get another coupon. First they...
I work my ass off in the fuel center. Another worker that is a slob and doesn't do any of the chores on the list is scheduled more hours than me, even though she's only been there 2 months more than me. I'm constantly told by others that even the boss doesn't like her, though no one reprimands her and she gets...
I have come to find out from others since i wasnt told that drug GM manager resigned. From the people i talk to it was probably the work load since she came from a smaller store to a bigger one. Thinking back on it make sense looking at how she acted has been acting lately. I have no idea who will fill the spot b...
Just curious the size of the stores where people work! My store was recently remodeled - it about doubled in size. Its friggin huge, the biggest one in the state that isn't a marketplace. 10 cash registers and 12 uscan registers. over 40 aisles. Drive thru pharmacy, giant starbucks area, huge deli/ba...
So all our employee discounts stopped working today (mid atlantic). Management says they don't know why, but we're not allowed to override or anything. Any idea if it's a New Years glitch, or something more ominous? Thanks
