Remember how there were jokes made here during the Taste of Mexico promotion about what was going to come next? We all thought those were only jokes... but Taste of Italy is real and is coming in early 2015 to Kroger stores, complete with more money-wasting t-shirts and offended customers that either...
I am not part of the union, but I want to try and find my contract online that I was hired under. (I work in Meat/Seafood, in the Atlanta division, if it matters). I thought it would be somewhere on GreatPeople.me, but that website is terrible to navigate through....
And tell my manager that if she thinks she can run this department better than all of us - good, do it by yourself. If I had something lined up, I'd do it. The only problem is that yes there are a couple people I would miss. But they also want out of here. My manager has done nothing but make our lives hell. Noth...
This past Saturday in the deli where I work we only had 3 people scheduled all day! Managment let 6 people in the deli/bakery have the day off. While it was a slow day, it wasn't dead enough to only schedule 3 people. Oh and if that wasn't bad enough When my second one in for the day clocked in, our co-mana...
I'm a new cashier (about 2 monts) and my FEM and CSM are on my ass about my Ring Tender numbers. Admittedly I scored a 72 on the last report . I have been busting my ass doing everything I can think of to speed up my IPM. But's it's hard becasue I'm always on Express. Plus we are near a seniors apartment comp...
Hi Everyone, I'm considering applying for an HR office position at my local Kroger. Unfortunately I am in a very difficult position right now. My husband and I ( who has a history of abuse) got into an argument that turned physical. He was arrested for AOF and the next day I was arrested for assault as we...
So i already know the answer, just looking for confirmation. I have a family member who is new about 4 weeks. After already getting his schedule off of e sched on Friday, sunday it was changed and at the store it was scratched off and hand written. Nothing was said to him can they do that??? I am pretty sure...
I used to work for another retail grocer in Texas and I was wondering whether Krogers in Texas use inspection logs or "sheets" - basically, are Kroger personnel asked to punch a clock showing when they began and ended a walk of the store's floors looking for safety or sanitation concerns...
Hey all. Basically, I am an assistant grocery manager. Does anybody know any sorts of jobs where the skills I learned here would transfer to? I'm sick and tired of these retarded expectations that nobody would be able to do. Swear to god, I had to face the entire department (and liquor) and order both to...
I've been with Kroger for 2 years. Without going into specifics, do I have a choice if management wants me to work front end? Seriously I don't want the stress of all of the responsibilities that goes along with that position.
I see some threads and posts have been removed. I guess frontendslave is as powerful as he thinks he is. It's a shame that any attempts at humor can be removed. All hail the great frontendslave!! Come on moderated, I am tired of random threads becoming another bit** session for frontendslave. Why don'...
hello I've been working part time for night stock and after a year of my employment my manager comes to me stating I've gotten fulltime status. I am being scheduled 32 hours but has told me I'm required to work 40 or he will take my fulltime away with the excuse of not having enough hours. Now I've been told...
Today we had a courtesy clerk on every single register. It was nice, since our store seemed to be where everyone wanted to be today. I don't remember that god-awful Que-Vision dipping below 10 the entire day. Anyway, about an hour-and-half before the end of my shift I'm assisting a fellow courtesy cle...
Hi all. I'm new to this site but I actually come here frequently to look up answers to my stupid questions. Anyways. I work in the Fuel Center and I actually quite like it (Unless I have a drive off or I'm asked to come in early). But I was scheduled to work New Year's Day and I'm not sure if I would get holida...
Got hurt at work today. What sucks is I found a note the comanager had written about the accident and it was 100% lies. I swear. I reported the injury to the comanager and she pissed me off so much I clocked out and walked out. Then I went back in after I calmed down and got someone to call the Kroger numbe...
