Does anyone in 75 know if this is true: Supposedly the people in the service departments are going to be forced to run register now as well. That all of us should be trained, and that they can and will start calling us up. I know the people in produce/dairy/grocery will probably feel no sympathy but how th...
I am in Michigan. When hired the co-manager stated due to contract I would receive no less than 23 hours per week. Last week I received 15 hours. Prior weeks consisted of 5 hours and zero hours. I have open availability. Coworkers have stated that it will be worse in Jan. and Feb. I have never received an...
Technically, I have been working for the company for 3 weeks but I have recieved absolutely NO hours. I have called repeatedly to speak to supervisors and managers only to be told that no one knows what is going on and hours are slowing down so their not sure what management wants to do with me. I just got h...

I start as a Fuel Clerk sometime next week. I never had a job before and was wondering if someone is going to show how everything works on my first day. I've already had orientation and computer training but that didn't help much.Should I show up really early? From other jobs like bagger it seems no one is...
Hi, quick question. I grew up in the the bread and butter of Kroger, right down in the Cincinnati area and have recently moved to Tennessee. I have a moral problem with unions (it's personal) but I was wondering do employees in the state of tennessee have to join unions for kroger? I have always been fond...
I am a new employee. I told them before I got hired and a few times since that I need the 24th-28th off. They told me that that was fine. Well I got the schedule Friday and they put me on schedule for the 24th and 26th. I called them and talked to them about it and they said okay and that they would make sure it got...
Our cashiers are working 12 - 20 hours this week. Our FEM said it would be the same next week too. Courtesy clerks are getting 25 - 35 hours this week for some reason. I better not have to bag one single item this week LOL! Maybe they are finally going to get rid of all those gobacks in the backroom. I wor...
I live in Northeat Arkansas and I was supposed to get paid today but the said the truck hasn't made it yet... How long does it take for that to happen?
Last Saturday two of the three closers in the deli were no call-no shows. One was asked to come in and he agreed, but he no-called, no showed. His excuse was he didn't want to come in and since he wasn't he didn't. And did management say anything? Hell no! Yet when I called off for three days in the spri...

To all of our members and readers who work the front lines of the Kroger Co. (and other labels and subsidiaries, union or non-union), Merry Christmas. Whether you like the job or not, you're what keeps the damned company alive and afloat. No matter what store management and above says, you're worth m...
Today I finally reached my limit with my bi-tc-h of a boss. This is the woman who claims "20 years" with Kroger. The same woman who earlier in the year told me "You could leave now and we'd be fine with it." This woman is a terrible Front End Manager. She sucks. Plain and simple. She s...
I have a question about seniority. The more senior members get more hours than the less seniority ones correct? I have open availability and I'm like 7th on the list of the cashiers on the schedule yet I get less hours than the ones below me (not by much, but like 4 or so hour differences). Some of them have...
