Yesterday at work I found out that our Front End manager filed a grievance against a new guy in the deli because he doesn't work any late shifts. Main reason he doesn't is because of his availability. For crying our loud neither me or the asst. deli manager work too many late shifts but the new guy got fi...
As soon as I got out of the car this morning I noticed a police car parked a few doors down from Kroger. I thought maybe the beauty supply store had been robbed again, for the 5th time in a year. Then I noticed right in front of Kroger, on the sidewalk, blocking the whole area off were 3 police cars. Went in...
I have a supervisor who has extreme anger issues and no people skills whatsoever. She's absurdly incompetent- she had to be taught the difference between 1% and .1% (too stupid to try to explain- but you get the idea). One day she was bagging groceries for me and had a screaming mad fit at me for going too...
Everytime I change my availability, my department manager that writes the schedules messes it up. I go to college so my availability is non negotiable. Last time it took him 3 weeks to get it right...then he gets mad at me even though I clearly put it online.
I called in yesterday and today due to being sick. I went to the doctors yesterday and he told me to stay home again today because I'd be contagious until my fever broke. However, I'm thinking of calling in again tomorrow because I'm still feeling really crappy. My fever did break though. I did get a doct...
As some of you may know, I've been terribly sick for the past two days. I went to the doctor's on Monday and got a note. The note says that I could return to work today, but I woke up still not feeling well (I had a fever again) so I called in again this morning. And I had planned on going back today because I thou...
So today I get a text from my coworker saying she's done dealing with our manager (who i've posted about before) and that she had been deleted as a facebook friend. So I check tonight and sure enough my manager deleted me as a facebook friend too. Now sure I know not being facebook friends with someone isn...
I started dairy recently and am being trained, but the person training me doesn't communicate as much as I think s/he should. I have asked a ton of questions, but feel like I'm just being a nuisance and not getting enough training. I would appreciate some tips to help me get off to a good start. ty
Damn shame. Mind you, these are MIDDLE school students. I'll be honest, I see a good 3/4 of them on SNAP after secondary education. Though, I'd rather see half of them land a McJob (at the very least), and the other 1/4 in Kroger. Oh, and to o...
I keep seeing this posted around the stores. What exactly is Safety 360 and how is it different from our current program? It sounds like if you have an accident then it comes back around and its on you.
During orientation I remember my rep saying we get 4 extra hours holiday pay as part time, and that we also get an extra $.50 per hour. So if I work 4 hours on a holiday, that tells me I should get 4 hours paid at $7.55 and (the extra) 4 hours at $8.05. When I looked at my pay stub, I saw that I had been paid an extra...
How long do you have to be employed with Kroger to qualify for insurance? I've been an employee there since May. -- Edited by DanielleNicole94 on Sunday 4th of January 2015 09:04:47 PM
The comanager that was angry because I wouldn't clean up my blood is out to get me. I'm filing a grievance and have talked with the union. My union rep said do not say a word to her, or anyone else at the store. He couldn't believe what she did. Yesterday I was not given my break. The day before she pull...
I work in the Fuel Center. A couple of questions I need answered: 1. Why am I now not being scheduled to work Sundays when I was working closing shift every Sunday before? 2. If a worker goes to the union for a 'hostile work environment' complaint and another complaint about her seniority over others...
Just want to know how many of you Receiving Clerks (or employees that know of Receiving Clerks) that are made to work the Bread at your store? I know in the smaller Krogers that it is common but what about the "Super" Krogers with the Fuel Station. Thanks.
My store now has 3 different size carts that dont fit together. 1 size is the little 2 basket ones, and 2 different large ones, with the newer ones planned to phase out the older ones witch I dont see happening anytime soon. Is our store the only one who got new carts? I hate them completely. This leads me to...
I'm on 45 day probation and have 2 ear infections + Bronchitis. How should I approach this? Call in with Doctor Excuse in hand, or let management decide on sight? I work in Meat Dept. and with this bronchitis I have a never ending, loud cough.
