Our co managers nickname is Hitler. I think this nickname was given to her when she worked at another store but follows her wherever she goes. Today she decided to come to my register and threaten to write me up. I had the key to the cigarette corral on the shelf beside me. She told me only the floor sup...
So I am a bagger that got promoted to bakery. Sounds cool right? Well...... my experience was just a ****ing train wreck from the start... So, it took 2 months for them to get everything ready for my promotion. I get this call from the bakery manager literally *the day before* I was supposed to go train a...
In my second week at Kroger, here. Walked into work today and just had a feeling that it was going to be a bad day. Ever get those? I didn't feel like being there that day, but of course I went; I don't believe in missing work/something important unless I'm very sick. Well, all that day actually went good...
My question is i have 2 year working at the store i was a courtesy clerk as starting i did 1 year and 4 months as a clerk got a 30 cents raised then got promoted to gm non food night crew doing 8 months and still working and got only 10 cent raised. so i was wondering do the hours from a clerk apply to gm like all to...
Sometimes I ask myself what sort of a b-a-s-t-a-r-d company I work for, and then I inadvertently get an answer. Our store has a contest going right now for cashiers. They basically encourage the customers to give feedback. The cashier whose name appears the most by a certain date gets Thanksgiving Da...
about 6 months ago I was moved from courtesy clerk to Deli clerk and have had difficulties with the shift I'm working regularly due to outside responsibilities, and need to have earlier shifts. I've also recently been given new tasks im not comfortable with, and would like to transfer to another dep...
So on my schedule for like two days this next week I have been put into the position of Front End Supervisor Assistant (I can't remember the exact wording but it was along those lines), and absolutely no one in my store that was on tonight when I stopped in to ask knew what it was. I have not been cross-train...
Hello all. I live in KY. It appears that I have paid union dues and union initiation through my paychecks, but I don't recall ever filling out any paperwork for joining the union. Does this mean I'm in the union? This has never really been made that all clear to me.. -- Edited by Pork Tenderloi...
Getting ready to open a new store. And even though the store that's opening is within walking distance, hence why I applied, I've been having to train at a Training Center and other store almost an hour away. (30 minutes roughly, and hour with traffic :/) They offered us a bus, which I told them I had a ri...
I don't know if this was a man or a woman. I didn't see. Person drives a white car. They used one of the small carts in the store. This person has parked right next to the curb in the parking lot. LAZY JERK has pushed the cart next to the curb and left it there, rather than walk to a corral less than 30 feet away an...
I was just wondering what the asterisk meant on the greatpeople.me site since I couldn't find an explanation on there, and I haven't run across it before. Its on two different days separated by a day off (an eight hour shift and a three and a half hour shift), and I figured I'd ask.
Well I need HELP again, my ELMS (Quota) has gone down, bottom fo the page again. I think is't on the key pad that am making a mistake. I scan very fast, then I press TOTAL , then immediately press CHECK TENDER, after the customer gets their payment out I press CLEAR, then the payment type (EBT, CHECK TE...
Tonight, I was working and there was a drunk guy that came into the store... STUMBLING. He fell in one of the aisles and the on-duty manager had to be called over. First, the guy tells a CC that he has a heart problem and that he'll be fine. Then, when the manager comes over, he tells her that he had Chemo toda...
I have been with Kroger for 10+ years and I recently put in a transfer to another store which is closer to my home. At the new store the manager has approved me for me to work there. I believe I would be #3 in seniority in the department. My question is, technically how long can my current store keep me befor...
Since my store already seems dead set on everyone working Thanksgiving, and then (shudder) Christmas coming soon after that, "if" (when) I work Thanksgiving Day, will I see extra cash in my paycheck for that? Because what kind of a ba-st-ard company has employees working holidays and no...
I live in Cincinnati where there is a Kroger store pretty much on every street corner. I was curious why each gas center they have the price is always different? Does any one work the fuel center & can tell me how they determine the price
