Just started working at Kroger recently, No one has showed me how to use the time clock at all. All I know is what the computer training taught me, but does someone have to install you into the system or what?
Is there a user manual available for the Symbol Technologies RC9000 type 21-64436 barcode scanner that we use? It would be much easier to learn how to use the thing if there were one.
I'M JUST A CASHIER AND ONLY A CASHIER. NO RESPONSIBILITIES. IF A CUSTOMER HAS A PROBLEM , SHOULD I CALL A MANAGER TO HANDLE THE SITUATION ? OR SHOULD I TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM ? ANY SUGGESTIONS ROSWELL, GA. 441
Its been three years since I have worked at Kroger and probably the same length of time since I have been here on the forums. I still have the high score in Pac-Man in the arcade section. Don't imagine anyone will be beating it anytime soon if they haven't been able to do it in 3 years. Whats up guys?
When a paper slip roll runs out in the machines is there any way that we can punch in a new slip using the numbered keypad? It seems kinda ridiculous to send them to customer service. Occasionally we'll have the slip inproperly printed because of it being out of paper. Sometimes the customer service peo...
Does any store do this? My store used to do this. On Saturday's a Church youth group would come and bag for tips and use the tips for special things. I personaly have no problem with that. The thing that made our store stop was the younger youth would but things with things that should not go and the custome...
I know the obvious ones, like keeping uncooked stuff separate from cooked things and softer items on top, but what are some of the key rules when it comes to bagging? Like what combinations (though they may seem safe) should I avoid?

For a kid to have a fit inside the store? Last night I had this girl about 10 years old, start crying and pouting because her parents (grandparents? not sure) were going to order a small 1/4 sheet cake instead of a 1/2 sheet. Then, she wanted it to be pink with zebra stripes. I told her, the edible image is on...
So today was incredibly busy due to the Mega Event, wednesdays we can usually just hang out and have like 5 customers the whole day. Due to the mega event, the store was so crowded that we ran out of carts, and the kmart next door ran out of carts because our customers kept taking them (theyre too lazy to get...

Does anyone know how to take off the automatic donations to the United Way on their paycheck? I was donating every year $1 a week, but I noticed a $11 a week decline in my check and can no longer afford it.
