Kroger/Walgreens merger
(Preview)
Seems like the Kroger/Walgreens merger is almost if not already a done deal. Walgreens will take over the Kroger RX while Kroger takes over the grocery side of walgreens. The walgreens that Kroger already takes care of look like minikrogers

The ultimate way to assert dominance
(Preview)
This has been the most unprofessional, greedy, two-faced, cheap, lying, dirty, disgraceful company I have ever had the displeasure of working for over the past year and a half. I have filed numerous OSHA complaints, gone to many lengths for getting my REQUIRED sick time by (my state) STATE LAW, made...

Leads being forced to work more than one night a week
(Preview)
Michigan Division. Local 876. I know all about full timers working one night a week, order of seniority, etc. But can the company just decide to work their leads 3 nights (like until 8 or 9) a week? It is ClickList and the excuse is that the dept falls apart after we leave.

How do I see my work schedule? The eschedule link isn't where it was anymore!
(Preview)
So maybe up until a month ago, I've been using the greatpeople.me to look at my schedule, and the link that would open the pop-up schedule would be next to my name. It one day just disappeared so I had to resort to using feed.kroger.com, but for some reason, I can't get to that sight anymore. What the heck i...

Food Handlers Permit
(Preview)
Does your Kroger require you to comply with the city/state laws regarding food handlers permits? I know for a fact that most of the employees at my Kroger work without one. Heck, we don't even have a sign in the restroom reminding employees who are too lazy or stupid to wash their hands. I've seen emp...

I don't take Kroger's insurance but what does the Union do with the bometric screening info?
(Preview)
Here in Local 1996 to avoid a $15 week surcharge you have to get a biometric screening. I have privacy concerns regarding this because I think such info could be used against you at some point-even though the Union says the info will not be released to Kroger. Thoughts anyone?

It's 90 degrees outside and they turned the heat on. They said if you raise the air temperature, you'll lower the humidity. How are rejects "go-backs" etc... done at your store?

The typically aren't done at my store. Usually they are put into carts and put to one corner of the store no one ever uses until it gets slow and then the supervisor gets someone to do them. How do they typically handle the rejects at your store?

Interesting color photo of the inside of a large grocery store in 1964. (Not a Kroger, but probably a lot like one). Look at the old cash registers!! They made the old fashioned loud "CHA-CHING! I've been a cashier for 5 months, and I've felt worse here than I've ever felt in any other job. The people are horrible, and treat you like you're subhuman trash. Everyday I come here I lose a piece of my soul.
