A whole flock of cashiers quit recently leaving me the most senior. I have only been there about two years but there's an extremely fast turnover in the front end at my store. Any little tricks or perks I can get away with with my newfound seniority?

I know this is one of the perks kroger tries to push on customers to get them to come work for us. I saw a similar post at taco bell. First of all, minimum wage is hardly "competitive" and secondly why are they looking for great people to work when they don't have the hours to give out?
