I wonder if Kroger cares if there is these "so called" supervisors Follow Kroger Policy. At my store they leave to run errands without clocking out take smoke breaks, Kroger needs to Ban smoking on company time. Things would get done!
I am so sick of doing the Code Dates, and as I use the RF scanner, I notice how there seems to be so many things wrong with the system. "Bugs" for lack of a better term. For instance, when coming up to the Organic Marjoram (the little rectangular herb packets, usually priced around 1.99) when I try to mark...
At the location I work at we received training several months ago addressing the many complaints the front-end coordinator, who is over an area of stores including the one I work at, received. She has a certain way she wants the front-end to run regarding our checking out our customers. Here is what we...
Since we are baking at another store there is a delivery service bringing our prodct to us. The problem is the delivery truck is lower than a kroger trailer. The dock plate does not extend far enough to hit the back of his truck. So not only do we have to step over the gap to get into a lower truck, we have to ba...
When you're zooming through an order, especially a large one, thinking you're about to have a quick transaction, and then.. The customer starts telling you a long story towards the end of the transaction, so you know they're gonna stick around and kind of slowpoke around their payment to talk more T...
Well, our store has a "Bulk Foods" section. And yesterday I happen to have a customer come through my line with some bags of cashews and other high priced nuts with pre-printed labels on them. Now, the funny thing is, they were priced as peanuts (which I think are around $3 or $4 a pound). I know for a fact t...
I had a customer who was on her phone the entire time during her transaction, including after she paid. So I bagged her groceries in plastic, but she got pissy and said that she wanted paper. So how do you deal with customers like this, especially when they are still on their phone after paying?

As a mixed clerk, I put every ounce of effort I possibly can into ensuring that the customer's experience is as smooth and efficient as possible. I don't like to brag, but I'm definitely one of the fastest baggers and cashiers...

I hesitated about posting, but I slapped my hands over my eyes and just clicked submit. This hasn't really happened to me before, and maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing, bu...
The period of being able to report this has passed, I was afraid to post it because it's kind of detailed and i didn't want to be identified, but I want advice on this situation as it could happen to me again, and i want to be prepared. I transferred from the worst store in the state, to a training store. Our S...
I am a cashier for Kroger, I'm in my 30s but wish to train in a different career, retail just isn't for me so I've been offered a place on a college course that will train me so I can get into the healthcare field. The course will involve me doing evening classes Monday through Friday, at the moment I just wor...
