the supervisor called for 4 associates today. FOUR at one time! There's barely that many associates that could come (if they wanted to). Hours are bad enough that we don't have time to be doing our job and theirs! Is this how we put our customers first? by half assing one job to make the other look b...
I work as a courtesy clerk. Meaning I am forced to deal with everyone's crap or leave. Whatever. But when I recieved my paycheck I found out they gave me an extra one on top of my regular one. this new one was ALOT more than my normal pay I recieve. And no, it isn't retro pay, a raise, or bonus, or a forgotten c...
I've been looking at my paystubs lately, and compared to other longer-tenured coworkers, I make 8.40/hr. When I work 40hrs for one week, my check is around $253. When I work 35 hours one week, my check is $226. The difference is $27 for five additional hours of work. Since this is the net after taxes, w...
Ok so my store is an average size store, definitely not a marketplace, but not the smallest either, ranging from about 700-800k a week on average. I've been in a large store for a short time while doing training, that did over a million a week. Now for my next....project we'll say right now... it sounds l...
I just recently left a store because the manager was unbelievably difficult to work with, it seemed like everyday there was some ridiculous problem he had with me. Either I was standing in the "wrong spot" or me fanning my self made me unapproachable. He's also since I left, told a girl who sprained her...
There has been a recent job posting on KnowMe for a ClickList Supervisor in my area. The listing details all work responsibilities (which are quite a lot), and also a Pay Level of 60. I was thinking of attempting to apply for this position, as I am more than qualified, but I have some questions about the r...
Hello I start orientation tomorrow for the deli section. & I was wondering what sh I wear? Is it just like something I wore to the interview ? & how long is it I got at 8@m
In grocery, we're obviously not running backstock "every day before you run the truck" as they told us when they rolled out the orderrevolution. Never has that actually happened. Trucks get bigger occasionally and there are fewer workers so we have to steal from other tasks to get the trucks ran (c...
(being rude without straight out tellin' it how it is). Not exactly being rude, but I remember early on in my "career" I had a nametag made that had a ebonics type name on it (nothing offensive). I was in a hurry and accidentally grabbed that nametag one day and be damned if the Zone MGR came in (I didn't...
Hello all! i have been with the company going on 15 years now. A month ago, I went on short term disability due to having surgery. I still have another month I will be out or so. In that time frame I have found another job opportunity. This company has been nothing but good to me (for the most part) but I am rea...
conversation between myself and a customer today: "friday morning isn't a good time to shop here" -oh yeah, why's that "this place looks terrible!" "I used to be a manager for kroger for 20 years and if a store looked like this on a friday morning, I'd have been fired" -well times have changed and they'...
Anyone else dislike them? For one thing I'm always having to look at a calendar to see what week (nearly 3 weeks out) I need to request days off for. I guess I could start putting them into esched as soon as I find out, but IDK about you guys, but I sometimes find out about stuff closer to its date (oh cool s...
Does anyone else hate the sign in sheet?? whenever theres no manager or they want u to come in way early they have you sign the time u can in till the time you leave. Sometimes i have to go out of my way to just get paid for the hours i worked i've had this happen many times. Also theres never a manager to be found...
so I started at Kroger on August 8th. I since then have done about three weeks of training. I recently been offered a very good job and need to let Kroger go especially since when I told kroger managment wasnt so helpful with helping me figure out a good schedule. I have not been able to get in touch with ma...

I started working at Kroger a couple of months ago and I was originally hired to work in the deli. However, when I was doing my new hire paperwork, the HR manager told me she wanted me to be a courtesy clerk instead and then do cashier training, which I did. I've always been on the front end and never worked a...
I'm no longer seeing a section under the Personal Profile link on ExpressHR for vacation time, personal days, sick days (not that I get those, lol) etc... Is it gone for everyone else, too? It's not that big of a deal, because I know what I have left for the remainder of the year, but when it all resets in th...
I was trying to figure out how long you have to work to get an hour lunch. I've had to work several seven-eight hour shifts. I was thinking it's eight full hours of work, not counting lunch to get an hour.
