I am wanting to call and check up on my post interview status, and i called and the guy who gave us the interview said that he wasnt the guy making the decisions and that that guy would be there the next day. What is the name of the TITLE of the person to hire you? hiring manager or what? He didnt give me the g...
I had an interview some time ago, and over a hundred people showed up. Earlier I tried to call the guy who did the interview ( he did not give us a card or anything, and the e-mail everybody got for the interviews had no number as well ) but it is some automated kroger robot where you have to press the numbers...
So I was recently hired at Kroger, and was called in for an orientation this Thursday. I can attend that, however, I am going out of town on Friday night and won't be getting home until Sunday. Would they be okay with that if they ask me to work this weekend or something? Because I've had these plans for a wh...
At my store, we change management after so many years. We get some we like and some we don't. Well, just recently we got a co-manager that not only we don't like but that we've worked with before. This particular person likes to wait until the busiest part of the day or when it's late in the evening when th...
If I was fired from Fred Meyer(returned a check to customer by accident) can I apply at Smith's now or do I have to wait 6 months? Both owned by Kroger.
I've worked for Kroger for 4 years in June. My starting pay was $7.25 and I've slowly gotten union based raises every 6 months and now make $8.00. I have been a full time employee for over 2 years, Im 3rd in seniority in my department (behind Produce manager and his backup) and my duties have grown from jus...
Any advice? I'm 1 week in and nobody has explained anything to me. and the manager keeps telling me the time clock is broken but don't worry just write my time down and give it to HR. But I dont always remember how many hrs I worked. Thanks
So, I have this condition coprophelia------it's where you get off on sh!t, sexually and, well, in my case, eating it as well. Is what it is, nothing I can do (believe me, I've tried). That's not the problem. The problem is, I've got a really cute FEM who I wanna eat his sh!t, I mean this is like a serious str...
Hey guys, i just got hired as a courtesy clerk and last thursday i attended orientation, that went well and just today i had the computer training in which i completed in one day too. During the computer training there was a section about PIT's, you know..the vehicles in-store that you use to lift and ca...
I've read our contract over three times now and nowhere is this addressed. When ever I'm scheduled to be there, I'm there usually at least a half an hour early to get my stuff put up and get mentally ready. When I'm scheduled to go home, I expect to go home on time as well. Lately they've really been pushing...
I was recently fired after 11 years on the job. I found out yesterday that my claim was disqualified because the "evidence" showed I quit. The only "evidence" they had was the store managers word against mine. Oh, and I was told a shop steward was present, which was B.S., it was one of the dept. heads w...
Why are they training a new person in the office if said person spgoes away to school!? I hope this doesn't give me less time. I thought for sure when one dude quit I'd get me time. Oh well. But it sucks.
I can see why there's a forum for how badly Kroger sucks. Within my first three days: - Got called a bitch by a supervisor for asking questions - Everyone in my dept acts like I'm the worst thing in existence so either ignores me or replies horribly rude when I need to know something - Managers do nothing a...
I work Night shift and I steal small food items from time to time. I have never been caught and I just discreetly put it in my lunch box. Anyone steal to? I asume im not the only one.
I'm a cashier and lately two meat cutters have been going to my check lane. They have been reducing meat down to 25 cents! Steaks, frozen chicken, ham, ground beef, and seafood are all either 34 cents or 25 cents! I hate that those scans have been under my name! I didn't confront the meat cutters. But, I di...
I have been a PT (25-35 hrs a week) Produce clerk at my Kroger going on 5 years, while in College. I do everything except order: open, green rack, cut fruit, truck, floor, train, help with inventory,..etc. I recently just graduated and decided to start signing Assistant Head positions to work until I f...
Well after 11 years with the company and until this morning, a deli/bakery back up, I was let go. The reason being I violated the social media policy. I did this when a week ago I posted that I got sick at work because of a backed up drain. That was it. But the Kroger excuse was friends of mine commented y...
