Being my first job, I only expected to work 16-24 hours, but NO. 40 every week. I am a part time employee making 7.35/hr, and I'm trying to graduate highschool. We just got a new store manager at our store and he is an imbecile. My department is understaffed, underpaid, and over-worked, and literall...
So i have a very serious and weird question for you all ere, and a bit of a rant, so please understand. Today I was asked by the MOD directly to clean a spill, which I was then told it was human waste. So I begin to dispose of the largest problem, the turd in dairy, then onwards down the aisles and up to checko...
Does anyone work at a store where the chip readers on the pinpad work? I hear it's a colossal nightmare. How bad is it? I was told that ours aren't going to work for a long time, if ever, because we have an off site fuel center. Hmm. I'm thinking about secretly taping ours off to speed transactions.
Cousin asked me to be in his wedding March 27th Easter Sunday. I AM GOING to be in this wedding. I put in for it in Nov 2015 and they say that day is blocked out. I told them of the wedding and that I am a participant, and they gave the "needs of the business" spiel. and that it's "all hands on de...
My manager broke the terms of our union contract in my scheduling this week and I called my union rep about it. This is unacceptable and she's been doing stuff like this ever since she switched to our store. I like her well enough as a human being but the way she treats her employees is inhumane. For examp...

Does this mean we'll get the schedule after that this next Friday? Next week? Or 2 weeks from now, we'll get our next 2 weeks schedule...? And, but more importantly, are...

The problem is I have no experience in either departments. I've only bee...

Hello, I was suspended pending further investigation some time ago. While I don't really want to give the details, I agree that I deserved the suspension, at least in part. During the grievance meeting I apologized and told Kroger I wanted my job back. I have a few questions. While I was working I w...
Like the total says, got pulled in and asked what shift I wanted to work between those two. Don't have any experience in the department so I'd be starting at the bottom paywise probably. Pros/Cons vs working 6am - 2pm and 1 - 9 pm? Just general advice for working the counter could be nice too, since I'm c...

Should I go to my main s...
