So I just started in produce. I've barely been trained on how to cut fruit and they threw me onto cutting fruit by myself today. 8 hour shifts, no lunch. 4.5 hour shifts, no break. yeah, i'm looking for a new job. I'll stick with kroger until I have something else, but these kind of conditions when I hav...

Hi! I am a fairly new cashier at a Kroger in Louisville (been here just a little over a month), and I'm a little confused about pay increases. I had been told by other front end employees to expect miniscule raises around every six months or so. I was hired starting out at $7.50/hr (not great, but I'm a pre-...

All the department heads and leads at my store now have to wear headsets with an earpiece all the time so they can talk back and forth with a manager without tying up the regular phone. Here's the problem. Besides looking dumb and ridiculous, it does nothing to alleviate the number of times that other...

it seems kroger across the board is understaffed. Why the hell don't they look into why people are dropping like flies from this company. People aren't treated according to kroger core values, that's obvious. As more people leave, your workload gets unbearable and they just push you to a breaking p...

Did everyone survive yesterday's holiday or did you get ripped to shreds by the "custormers"?

Hi, I applied for my first job as a "courtesy clerk" and I got an email saying welcome aboard and to create an account at the onboarding website but after I did I redieved no further information about my first day or anything for that matter. What do I do? Do I wait for further instructions or do...

I accepted a small dollar tip, under 10 dollars. I work in the fuel center at a midwest Kroger. I know that we aren't supposed to accept tips, but in this instance it felt like it would have been insulting to the customer in front of other customers. SO I accepted. This isn't the worst part. At the end shift...

So someone called in in my department and they called me about coming in and I never answered. Can I get written up for not calling back? I really didn't feel like coming in today after I worked the past 8 days straight.

I'm typing up my 2 week notice right now, to hand to my manager when I go in today. Are there any special exit procedures at Kroger, or is it basically just "alright thanks for working here, bye"? Will I be expected to help train a new hire? Assuming they can bring someone in, I doubt they will...

Our store has a MASSIVE Dairy department. It takes 5 full timers and 3 part timers to run it. Today, we're running it with 3 ft and 2 pt. Our "Grandfathered I'm above everyone else in the store" dairy manager is a bundle of joy to work for. He's also our union steward and when he says there's over...

You are embarrassing yourself trying too hard and making everyone not give a ****...they only promote the losers. Just relax and go facebook upstairs and you will have your store in no time. The Kroger way.

So as you know a courtesy clerk main task is to recover carts but as summer comes in the temperature rises up to 100 plus, any tips on staying clean/ smelling good? I usually just spray myself with cologne.

I don't know if it's every region/district but check out the digital coupons. I found one for 200 fuel points with any purchase. Hope your 4th of July went swell.
