I've been a Courtesy Clerk for 2 years at location 195. I was thinking of maybe applying for a corporate office position after I graduate college, with an Associate's degree in Web Design. Only problem is, no where on their web site can you apply for any corporate positions, just store and distributio...

Maybe everyone should get off this forum. We could shut this board down. There is no way to contact customer support and no one has posted on community guidlines since 2007. If you're serious about wanting Kroger help or just need to rant you have to follow the other forums. The forums must be closed an...

What's the good in having a forum moderator if they can't pull these offensive posts? Or has that already been tried?

I started working at Kroger exactly one week ago. I hate it here. More specifically, I hate my job. To begin with, I wanted to work part-time. I have one day off this next week. I applied for a cashier position, since I have experience and am a "people person", and they stuck me in produce. I'm 5...

I have posted copies ( pdf files ) onkrogertalk.com of what local 540 and local 1000 has at the moment. It has pissed the locals off as they do not think non members should have that information. They are there is you want to see them. but what I would like to know is if there is any others out there that can ge...

Not really. Basically getting ****ed out of my job right now. There are 3 stores in town, and another in the next town over, about 45 minutes away. One of the stores in town is closing because it sucks, it's always in the bottom 5 in the division. They are letting the people at the store that's closing take...

Now what ur experiencing is the dreadful implementation of the 30% full time rule. It's only going to get worse from here on out. Regardless of what ur store mgmt, district mgmt., or general office try to convince you of this fulltime reduction plan is their major objective. The harsh reality is that...

IN a letter I saw @ work today, It stated that Kroger and UFCW came to the following agreement. Employees hired 1/1/2003 or before (I believe it 1/1/, but I am sure its 2003) will be entitled to day to day bumping of schedule as opposed to week only. This new rule takes place on 6/1/12. I suppose this mean...

I hate the markdown program. I'd rather produce less product and have the shelves be a little less full than to have to mark down entire shelves of breads and cakes. Today I saw a woman at the bakery counter and asked her if she needed any help. She said she was waiting for somebody to mark down the cake...

Ok, I went to the store today as a customer and ended up talking to my manager, and she gives me a paper that is this employee survey. Basically, you have to rate yourself on how you feel you're doing in several categories (superior, acceptable, or developing skills) and then the supervisor will mark it...

I went back to work Tuesday after my vacation. Tuesday is senior discount day. During my time off nothing changed. As busy as we were, there were only 6 cashiers on the schedule all day.
