I got told today by my store manager that I've been terminated because of "insubordination" this only my FIRST bad thing I did and I was wondering can they really fire you just because of insubordination??? I'm a bagger btw, females always refuse to go outside because of the weather but the...
Morons..how about spending that money on your good people rather than the revolving door of quitters. It is a contract year so i'm sure we will get screwed at the same time.
I've never been told what in the world it was because they canceled orientation and I've heard nothing about it being rescheduled. I was pretty much trying to do some last min tidying up ( although it didn't really need I'm just a neat freak like that) and I got an emergency call regarding my child being r...
I'm filling in for someone as night cashier and it will be such a relief to not have to stop what I am doing to ring out a customer at our 24/7 store. Tonight was the worst one yet, 3:30am and people still coming in and needing register 1 open, only for 5 more idiots to get in line too. I'll get my cleaning done b...
So, I got almost 14 months with Kroger. Drug/GM to Bagger to Cashier. Cashier since last May.I was on register then SCO on Christmas Eve, with the front end at full threshold before it would fall apart, and I thought, "wow, I'm making just 8.25/hr for this crap" as every moron kept bringing $...
I went in today to get my schedule for next week and couldn't believe what I saw. All the bread tables were completely empty. The pie table was completely empty. The single serve dessert table was empty. All the cupcakes were gone. About the only things left were a few birthday cakes and a few t...
I have a coworker who is always sick whenever she comes in. I've never seen her healthy..she's always coughing and complaining about some illness she got. Then she gives people hugs and we all get it. I'm not sure if she's doing it on purpose or is just being "friendly" with no regard for othe...
Does Kroger have sick pay for a certain amount of days off? I've called off sick for two days and got a doctors excuse for the rest of the week off, excluding tomorrow because of it being a holiday.
I'm currently a floor supervisor, and have been for a few months. My next goal is to become the front end backup (ACSM in region). I would like some pointers to get there. Also, does anyone know when the programs for 2016 are starting in the southwest division?
I'll start off by saying Kroger was NEVER my main source of income I just used it as a side job. I worked overnight grocery for almost a year and my weekly checks never went over 150..Recently with hours being cut my checks was around 80-100 bucks weekly which I saw as a waste of time. My night manager bitch...
This past Saturday, my aunt who had been battling cancer passed away. I got the call while at work and my father said he'd come get me and we would go to the hospice house where she was so we could be with the family. I tell the woman I opened with that I had to go and she told me to go tell the store manager. No...
I didn't work for Fred Meyer/Kroger long. I was a temp hired during a store reset. The one thing that really struck me during that time, however, was Kroger's obsession with the employee door at the back. Everyone had to use it, all the time. If you used the front door, you got written up. If you swipe...
I work in the krogers deli i normally have been putting in 24/23 hours a week. Then they dropped me down to 16.5 hours. Then this week i only work 2 days and they are only 4 hour shifts.
