New to night stocking and would like some insight. My store gets 4 trucks a week at about 2000 pieces per load. We are an absolute mess at night with the freight lead in charge. There are only 4 of us and the grocery manager comes in in the mornings and scans and picks up backstock at 6am while we are still sto...
Anyone know how QueVision comes up with it's half-hour number? We've had times where we have one brief rush (so brief that the five-minute chart doesn't show us going above a 2.0) and it gives us a miserable 60 for that half-hour even though it impacted only one or two customers, but other times I've see...
I was hired on November 20 as a cashier. I was so excited and I loved my job and the people I worked with. They were always calling me to come in because someone would call off and I always went in when asked. Well Saturday night I called to get my hours for the week and this manager gave me my hours and even ask...
Hello to all of you. My name is Kira and I have not started working at King Soopers yet, but I will be starting soon. I hope to meet some people before starting.
In my store, the schedules are posted Fridays around 3 pm. I was just wondering if Christmas on a Friday would mean that we would get our schedules a day or 2 early or a day later on Saturday.
I have worked as a grocery night stocker for nearly 1.5 years now. I started out making $8 an hour and knowing nothing, to now making $9 an hour ($9.5 in January) and doing pretty much everything a backup would do (putting up trucks for other departments, scanning holes, doing orders when the manager is...
I recently transferred stores for a new position and I don't feel like it's going to work out. I will give it more time, but I may eventually want to transfer back to my old store. I vaguely remember hearing that you have to wait six months to transfer. Does anyone know if that is just applies to new-hires o...
Anyone else have a sample person who won't give employees samples when they're on their breaks? There's a sample lady at our store and the smile drops off her face whenever she sees an employee coming. Sometimes she even pulls the samples she has out back so they can't get it. Seriously? All the other s...
Ok, So I am 16 years old and work as a Front End Courtesy Clerk (which usually just involves me bagging and getting carts all day). So at my job interview, they offered me the job right on the spot, no drug test or nothing. I started the next day and eventually got the hang of things. However, I was very clear...

After working at Kroger for 2 years, while in college, I finally got accepted to an internship with a company that is in my field of study, IT and CS. Goodbye barely-above-minimum wage, hello $15/hr with the possibility of becoming full time salaried once I graduate. Nice knowing all of you.
Kuddo's to Jason S at the Burlington Washington Fred Meyer. Recently an outing at 7:00 pm to make a purchase for some awesome Darth Vader Shoes for my grandson, a series of 'UH-OHS" commenced for an hour but Jason was the voice of reason. After the original cashier incorrectly counted the cas...
