i am having a devil of a time getting them to give me the maternity paper work to fill out and i'm due in 4 weeks. what gives? are they try to be jackasses on purpose? also how to make them give me the dang paper work advice

I worked in the kroger video store around 2002-2003. Anybody remember the Vipre (or Viper maybe) video store program. It was a console based program. I wonder who wrote it, maintained the video titles, and what platform it ran on - IBM AS400? just curious.

If anyone could give me the number that you are supposed to call when the Pepsi machine needs maintenance, it would be greatly appreciated. The number is supposed to be on the machine, but our machine doesn't have one. I know I can't call but I can give this number to my manager, and she can call.

Let's be realistic guys, Kroger starts their new hires at worse wages than Walmart (who by the way now starts everyone at $10 an hour). Tons of places (retail, anyways) pay between $8.50 and $9 to start. You'd think a unionized store would pay a bit higher than average, no? Nobody can ****ing live on $7....
