What is the criterion that Kroger uses for deciding who you can work for while you work for them? I contacted the union and they told me that there is no federal law that says you cannot work for whoever you choose - it is just Kroger law. i don't understand why management seems clueless on what really goes on in the store. I can't understand also why they say they want everything Krogers way. But ignore the problems at hand that is affecting customers because an employee mentioned it, like we are stupid. Well wakeup people.........

So they have a temporary contract ready and union members will be voting this week. It includes our meat cutter union as well. No terms have been leaked and the union reps are keeping lips sealed. Managment is encouraging everyone to attend the meetings. We will see if it's worthwhile.
