I have 3 different schedules for this week. The one my dept. head wrote. The one the store manager wrote. And the one on eschedule that contradicts both. WTH?? This is like the 3rd week this has happened. How am I supposed to know what I work? I've asked my boss several times and he just blows me off. This is...
Im late in doing this but I cant get in touch with the lady who hired me for the last 4 days. I was hired at kroger as a meat clerk. As the title says i have orientation later today at 12 and the only problem i have is she didnt tell me which kroger its at. The kroger is somewhere in conroe but i'll be working in hun...
ive been working for 2 weeks and was on my 35 min lunch when I hear someone on the voy call say "xxxx call checkstand 2 please, xxxx checkstand 2." I get on the phone and politely say "xxxx is in lunch." I thought that was that. Until I was called into the boss office by our assistant ma...
Hi, I requested May 18th off on April 15th and its still pending. Should I be worried? It's a week from today and I need it off for a school-related thing.
If you get suspended for something (it's a long story), does it have to be for an 8 hour shift or can it be a 4 hour shift? Because supposedly i'm getting a 1 day suspension but apparently it's not all that serious because it's not even occuring this week. It'll apparently be scheduled like that the follow...
I love Dillon's, but some of the food is pricy. The meat is the worse price. When you work for Kroger it sucks that you only get discounts on Kroger foods, not on every food. I think the people that work there should get discounts on every food. It's awesome that people have Dillon's plus cards and we can sa...
I'm asking this because I just called in an hour prior to my shift, however nobody sounded happy about it. I also had to call the service desk because I couldn't remember the correct number, and so was transferred twice. When I got to the final one, they just asked for my name and hung up after telling me to...
I used to buy pasta salad or potato salad for lunch sometimes but ugh...they are always horrible, so I stopped buying them. They don't taste fresh. Kroger needs to start changing them out more often - there's no need to put them in huge bowls, just put them in small plates and then change as needed instea...
I recently started working for Kroger and enjoy the work I do, but I absolutely hate the way employees from the Deli, including the department head, gossip about and talk bad about other employees. It is sad and hurtful! You can not trust anyone in the Deli. I don't understand why people have to be so hat...
I do not have a vehicle of my own. I rely on rides from friends and family to get me to and from work. This is not my problem. I am ALWAYS early and ALWAYS stay my entire shift or fifteen to twenty minutes over if the situation deems necessary. My ride doesn't take issue with this. However when it runs over hal...
Hi. I worked for Kroger for 36 years. I started in June 1972 and retired in May 2008. Overall my years at Kroger were OK. I was lucky enough to retire before they changed the retirement. I really feel for those friends of mine who were within a couple of years of retireing when it all changed. I worked in the...
How long do you have to work at Kroger before you're unionized? I've heard 30 days and 60 days. I need to know because I might get fired for something stupid.
I started out in the deli and (this goes without saying) hated it. Because I'm a good working I quickly got transferred to the Bistro. I like the Bistro for the most part and enjoy the people I work with. But Lately I've been thinking of switching to front-end assuming I could get a guaranteed 40 hours...
So I'm waiting in line to check out my groceries after work today and remember the article stating Kroger got the wait time for checkouts to an average of 30 seconds. When do they start calculating this time? If you start from the time I stepped into the checkout line to the time I got my stuff bagged and...
Something suddenly came up and I won't be able to come in to work on Friday. Is it better to call off ahead of time and give them a few days to find a replacement, or should I call the day of? I would prefer to let them know ahead of time because I feel bad, I wouldn't do it if it wasn't absolutely necessary. But...
Manager:What can you expect From filthy little heathens? Here's what you get when incomes are diverse!Utility Clerk: Their eyes a hellish red They're only good when dead They're vermin, as I said And worse Cashier: They're Customers! Customers! Barely even human Customers! Customers! Drive th...
So last night I came down with a bug, took some Advil and decided to sleep it off. This morning I woke up with a terrible sore throat and felt congested, etc. I called in two and a half hours before my shift and spoke to a store manager who was upset that I was calling in. He's not even associated with my dep...
