I work in the Deli. There is a coworker who thinks she knows everything and will interrupt you while your dealing with a customer. Lets start with I'll be standing there serving 4 or 5 customers and she'll act like she's too busy to help. I'll then be frying chicken and a customer will walk up. I can't take...
our new manager is a complete stickler over our conditioning and i hate it. do customers really care if every single item on the shelf is razor aligned with the edge? heck no! why do we have to get yelled at for not conditioning fast enough when we have to make it ever so perfect because my boss is scared of g...
I have worked at Kroger almost 3 yrs now and I started out working grocery at night and worked 35-40 hrs a week There have been 4 or more employees to guali that was hired in after me. I had a chance to work day shift so that's what I did as of now I have worked grocery, produce, dairy, buffing the floors, etc...
At our store, comments are rarely seen, perhaps a few are printed out once a week, covering the previous one to two days worth of comments. In general, the employees who are "recognized" (i.e. personal mentions) are not told about their mention. The general manager here seems very nonchalant abou...
all of this weirdness started on monday when i filed my 14th job application in a span of 2 years in high hopes that i would get a job, then out of nowhere on 1 PM Tuesday Afternoon i received an email to call this 1-844 number to speak to a recruiter for a brief phone interview but i did not view the email till a...
I officially think kroger just lost its mind :|. I mean, seriously. They force a system that does not work onto night crews and watch them fail. Now drug/gm too? Expecting a department with 130 hours (aka - 2 full time people and 2 part time people) to even have the time to do that bull**** when drum/gm is a...
I've always wondered this. Not only can you see when everybody's working, including the managers (the managers? like they go up there to check their schedule?) but they include their hire date as well. Why?
I should know since I've worked here 3 years lol but what does this mean? Last wage increase: 05/07/2017 Current pay rate: $8.8500 Current job step: 90 Next pay rate: $9.4000 Next job step: 0100 Accrued credited quanity: 24.00 Quantity remaining: 2
or did they finally realize that they're throwing money down the drain. I swear they come up with some of the craziest ****. "free friday downloads" You're giving **** away! How is that a good business idea?
I really couldn't care less about this. The only people that get in trouble are managers. We as front end people cant even be disciplined. One of the mgrs. tried, the union got involved, and into arbitration. The decision is that OSAT is not definitive and easily manipulated and Quevision is based on...
Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't one of the jobs of store management (either store mgr themselves or a co) to review all dept. heads schedules before they are posted? for example, if a dept head schedules overtime, due to lack of staffing, how can a store manager say after the week has been completed,...
And thankfully I wasn't one of the folks helping peeps decorate the cupcakes. As usual and as I knew would happen, I had a lot to package again, no time to label anything, re-filled the floor 3 times, and took care of the other key things that needed to be done. And thankfully one of the peeps working the cu...
I am a backup and have been at this store for 6 months. I came here after winning a job bid. The store itself is not that bad, but the department head is terribly lazy and it is getting me more and more frustrated that I have put in for other stores backup positions. I have not talked to management about any of...
I live in a fairly white area to be fair. But I see a lot of people come in to check on their applications and I notice more of a dismissive attitude to anyone who is really unattractive or someone of color. I don't know these people, or their work history so I'm not for certain, to be fair. I know for fact ou...
