Had a little situation this morning in which an associate needed to be taken to the ER. At first I was going to call 911, but we decided it'd be much quicker to drive the person to the ER. (so we don't have to wait on the ambulance). It didn't seem to be a life or death thing and it wasn't a physical injury, b...
Things have gotten ****ty. Fortunately for those of us trying to find an exit, we know there are greener pastures out there if you're willing to take a risk. We've got a couple in school and one looking at another position elsewhere. These are all people with 3, 8, 10 years experience. If we all leav...
Hi, I'm writing a proposal on the issues with UFCW and how it affects Kroger employee's wages. I'm comparing the UFCW227's union guidelines with the other store within the Louisville district (Jay-C) and how they differ from being Union/Non-union and if it's better off at one or the other. Basicall...
Any aspects that you just can't understand. Why TF do we have to keep our back dock door sealed "Do not exit"? At our store, vendors and drivers are forced to use the roll up door. If this is an issue of security (to keep people from stealing) their logic is faulty. Instead of having them use a regula...
They seem to think it's something you can really live off of, but I hardly think it's somewhere a person could stay 20 years (I'm thinking of people who are just now getting into the workforce). People who have been here for awhile might be ok, but those who are just starting out can easily do better in ot...
In our area (Local 1996) we have about 6 or so former WalMart maangers that have started working for Kroger. Why so many-is WalMart treating their mgt like s*** because it seems so many are leaving them
back when i was a bagger, we used to bounce from checklane to checklane to bag for 2 cashiers at the same time. The cashier would help so it was possible. Now they jump the gun and call for other departments. All. day. long. "we need 4 associates to come bag" ---there aren't any "extra" associates in an...
our contract is expired but even if the contract is expired shouldn't the union have to fight to help you keep your job? isn't that the very reason we have a union or at least one of the reasons?
Kroger employees... How would you feel about being told how to complete a survey as well as exactly what to state in the survey? The ASM at the location I work at asks his customers to indicate on the survey that they were highly satisfied with his service as well as the courtesy clerks service. He also te...
Is it just me, or does anyone else get tired of all the pricing "gimmicks" going on all the time at Kroger. 2 for $1.00, 3 for $5, 2 for $5, 10 for 10 dollars, etc. It gets SO annoying. Why doesn't Kroger make everything as simple and up-front as possible for the customers? Sometimes it confuses custom...
Not only do they get 50 fuel points for doing it, but I give 50 points for bag credit to each customer for doing a good survey, whether they have bags or not. This OSAT is such a bunch of crap. I get a $5 card for each shout out of my name. I used to get excited about shirts and hats and jackets, but how many can o...

They are really emphasizing putting cold items with cold not mixing them up in a bag (previously they didn't care.....just let me do my damm job the way I was TRAINED to do it!!
