I had a woman come through my line today and I think she's in the early stages of Alzheimer's. It was pretty obvious that she was out of it. It took her about 20 minutes to find her Kroger card and then another 10 to try to find her debit card. After finding her Kroger card, she gave it to me. I scanned it and gav...
Does it seem like these three things seem to get in the way of each other? For example, an over-emphasis on Qvision may mean that there are more holes on the shelves and product possibly spoiling (dairy is biggest at risk here) because your stock clerks are up front. An over-emphasis on OOS will probabl...

Just wondering - about a week ago, the boss put me in as a supervisor due to a settlement Kroger reached with the union. My ESS Kroger does list me as a floor sup and it does claim that I got a raise on the day that the boss "promoted" me. However, despite the pay cycle changing (I was promoted th...
So, I quit my last job. I worked in a factory, great pay and the work was fine. The working conditions became unsafe so a lot of people left, now I'm looking for a job that will hopefully not give me Silicosis or Cancer. I was a great factory worker because people left me alone and the job was mundane. Not ma...
i am trying to locate any employment records for my grandfather for a historical perspective on his life. He worked for Kroger down on State Ave. in Cincinnati in the late 1930s to early 1940s. Any suggestions? I have reached out to corporate, but have not heard anything back . He is deceased.
On my shift yesterday, I got called into the manager's office. When I got in there, the manager started telling me that a lady came through my line on Sunday and paid less than what her bill was. What my manager told me: After I checked her out, she looked over her bill and saw that it wasn't right. She saw th...
All this crap about getting only 12---18 hours per week makes me hair ball puking SICK. Folks, I don't know what the answer is here, but understand that you're not making enough money to even afford McNasty meals. All that's happening is this conglomerate dollar sucking bitch is USING YOU to get even r...
First off, I'm a bagger. I was scheduled to work until 2:00 pm. It's 1:58, and I just get done bagging an order. I then start to help bag for another customer in a different lane. Now the time's 2:01. I see another bagger coming up front, so I leave and clock out. As I'm about to leave, the cashier tells me I sh...

I'm a new-ish cashier, and I have a couple of questions: 1. I've had approximately 25 hours so far on the register, and about every third transaction I have a problem that requires me to call for help--customers fussing over prices, register stuff I don't know how to do, etc. I was told not to leave my l...

During the summer it's not uncommon for me to miss upwards of 10 days in 3-4 mon...
I'm working 4.5 hours today (3-7:30). Will I get a break and a lunch or just a break? I'm not quite sure if I'll get a lunch or not. I've never worked this short of a shift before. My shortest shift was 6 hours. -- Edited by DanielleNicole94 on Sunday 27th of July 2014 11:42:23 AM
