So my questions are as followed; 1. What do you typically do within each mentioned department ? ( produce, natural foods, bakery) <--- I do understand this varies from store to store but i would like a more detailed explanation on "what" you exactly do based on personal experience 2. Do...
What is it like in the states where grocery stores carry wine? There is a petition right now to have the city vote on it and we have one in the store for people to sign but I really don't want to carry wine unless they give us a full time wine expert because you know people will be asking and we'll be like ummmmm...
If I come in as a customer, I am told by management that I have to greet and provide assistance to customers. Who do I talk to in regards to this treatment? He also quizzes me about customer service while I'm on breaks, lunch, or off the clock. I want to put an end to being singled out by Pat Coe.
So last night I was only scheduled a 4 hour shift from 5-9. I had to do breakout and clean up. Breakout took me until about 7 but the bread wasn't thawed so i went and cleaned the donut case, took back trash, etc. By the time I was done doing all that, it was 8:30. Which gave me an extra half hour to package cooki...

i think the way we have to condition actually makes the shelves look less full. i thought the basic idea of all shelf stocking was to make sure the product was fronted and faced to make it appear to be full. this blocking stuff looks sloppy to me

My store director at a certain Smiths store has summed up any inquiries I had about why we are so understaffed and treated like crap, these are his exact words, "The sooner you realize we don't give a **** about you and your family, the further you'll go in this company." What great words of in...

Alright fellow coworkers from far, far away! I'd appreciate your input. I've been working at food 4'more' for about 2 years and a half, and i'm owed 2 years of backpay. I was being paid u.c wage, even after I had been promoted to another department (meat). It took them a year to finally put my promotion th...
Does everyone have to do this or is this something we're only doing in my zone? It's a thing that happens 3 times a day where we have to drop whatever we're doing (putting on an order? Who cares? Frozen product sitting out in the open? Who gives a sh*t!) and talk to the customers for 5 minutes out on the floor...
