How often do you hear this at work? I mean, good lawd, clean it your damn selves! How does it get so dirty in the first place? Granted, during the winter there were a slew of idiots coming in with muddy boots (who doesn't know to wipe off their boots, stomp it off, etc?), but it's like every day now with produ...
First of all, it's unfair that it was changed to only a "select" number of stores being picked for the survey. It should be every store. Does everyone's opinion not count? I'm skeptical that even those of us being asked for our opinion will be heard. For those of you that do work in a store that...
Is the amount of turnover becoming crazy high in your store too? In my bakery department alone, in the last 3.5 years i've worked there, we currently only have 2 people under me in seniority. one of them has worked there since sometime in 2012, the other for only a month or two. There have been 11 (that i ca...
Personally I'm sick of the endless loop of the same patriotic songs over and over again with no variety. I heard the same crappy version of 'God Bless America' about twelve times in an eight hour shift. I'm also annoyed that I have to wear an apron. You wouldn't think it could make you that hot but it does,...
Kroger sucks because they promote people who don't deserve it.Just like being in high school, who you like is who gets promoted. My store manager used to be a corporate person, stepped down and became a store manager. This person, screwed the boss, got pregnant, who fathered this child is hush hush, s...
Where to start... Kroger has given me the opportunity to learn many useful skills and life experiences... I have done many foolish things while employed here, such as multiple no call-no shows and the like... so, management should have a little frustration with me. There's no justification for m...
A couple days ago we had a rather large order placed on line for this coming Saturday. While not as large as the 37 trays we got stuck with a couple weeks ago, it is quite large, some 15 trays total. Anyway we called and confirmed the order which includes 50 pieces of fried chicken at 9 a.m. Out chicken pe...
In the deli at my store we have one of those new ovens that cooks whole chickens in 45 minutes. As the powers that be love to constantly tell us, it cost over $15,000.00. Well in the 2 years since we got it breaks down every few months and hasn't worked right in over 6 months. There is a grease collector ho...
WHENEVER SOME JACKASS GOES ON VACATION, THEY DECIDE TO GIVE ME MORE HOURS. WOW!-BUT WHEN I BUST MY ASS STOCKING DAIRY AND BREAD AND STUFF THEY DONT CARE. THIS GUY JUST WENT ON VACATION 2 WEEKS AGO, NOW HE HAS TO GO AGAIN. THIS GUY IS SO DAMN GAY TOO TO ADD. THEY THROW ME INTO A SHIFT OF 12:30 TO NINE O' CLOCK AT N...
we are 50+ people in the hole across the board in our store. Many of the full timers got so fed up with our micromanagement team they moved to other areas in our division so they could transfer by bid/seniority store transfers. You could not get a job at many of the other stores because they would send thei...
For the past few weeks, I was doing utility work. In addition, I was checking. In ExpressHR, I was still considered a Courtesy Clerk. Yesterday, I spoke with the union rep. who happened to be in store. Came to me a few hours later and said I was promoted... HOWEVER! On ExpressHR now, I'm still considere...
Apparently I wasnt paid for the vacation I took last week. I checked my bank statement and received no direct deposit. So I checked express hr and its still showing my last check from 06/04. I didnt have a problem last year so whats different this year

Recently, I wanted sunday off, didnt get it ( As usual). Asked th...
Walked in this morning and found out we have a new donut program in the bakery. Didn't know a thing about it. They just sprung it on me and said they had to be done today. In addition to the regular donuts we do, we now have to do the following: turtle cake donuts (chocolate, pecans caramel) samoa cake do...
I am so surprised to hear about the different pay scales for Kroger throughout the country. I was just wondering how much do some of you make-top pay for your classification?
